Besides you're doing them a injustice. Forest won a competition for the respective league champions of Europe, rather than some contrived to be a money-spinner tournament that lets 4th placed nobodies into it.

Objection on what grounds? They have never won the Champions League.
They won the European Cup. Champions League and European Cup are the same competition. Completely different comp with different format. I'll use your own arguement. Saying Forest have won the Champions League is not like saying Blackburn have won the Prem (which they have), it's like saying Liverpool have won the Prem because they won the old division one. *Bash* Overruled The Champions League has had format changes since the name change. Does this mean it becomes a different competition every time they change the format? No. Does changing the name of a competition make it a different competition? No. My answer is valid. |
