Anyone know the best place I can bet on Soton winning by 3 or more goals at the weekend?

I have a £200 bet at even money that Newcastle will take 7 points or more from:

Stoke (a) won 3-1
Everton (h) won 2-1
Man City (a)
Man Utd (a)
Chelsea (h)
Norwich (a)

Obviously I need one more point to scoop the bet.

What's my best strategy to make sure I can't lose?

If they cant take 1 point from the next 4 matches then youre not fated to win

Sounds more like a bet boast to me  :)

Good Luck

Coral has the best price for your bet @7 -2..........Prices on the link below

http://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/championship/southampton-v-brighton/winning-margin

BEWARE !.. this is not a strong market place so they are not the best value odds....also make sure you identify the correct market as some firms quote " to win by 3 goals margin EXACTLY"  and other are " to win by 3 goals OR MORE"

I hope this helps

Peace x

they've been playing really well and maybe should have beaten barca. They have an excellent defence.

I asked the best price for it to bet on ?! Pretty much a guaranteed result with us having 6 first 11 players out injured V a team who had won 20 home games in a row and a rivalry built from last year :) Looking forward to smashing Blackburn next season in the champ tho.

Given the team news...and the fact they have the passionate home crowd behind them I think that ..

Liverpool to win  @ 10-11  (draw no bet ) is decent value today

Hi

I dont always back on draw no bet , I just look for value (subjective)...but over the years Ive learned this is a much more profitable way of staking/betting on football

Liverpool V Man City was an example....you could of backed both teams at 6-4 with the draw at 9 -4 ... or 10-11/evens on either with money back for the draw..granted not as bigger odds but you are betting on a more favourable percentage book

The draw generally is the ideal result  for the bookmakers and its quite amazing how many times it occurs especially in closely contested matches ...In my opinion its better for the draw not to be a loser for the punter...

Happy to try and answer more if needed

Why not just back the Asian Handicap at one of the Asians where the over round is relatively small?

I do play the Asian handicap but Im just trying to simplify it for this forum as some people dont  really dont understand either market...Sometimes the % or over round can be better on the draw no bet market ...you just have to hunt for the best price

makes sense. but if it happens a lot in crucial matches, why not bet on it?

A Vehement home crowd that gets behind the side can really make a big difference to the players. Some examples of these grounds (in my opinion ) are Stoke,Liverpool,Newcastle,Wolves,Spurs,Chelsea, Norwich,Sunderland (not recently ) who normally  get behind their team.

Quiet home grounds include Villa, Wigan,Fulham,Bolton,Blackburn, even Man Utd and Arsenal can be a graveyard.. especially when things are not going well

Supporters of some the above teams may agree or disagree..I can only base it on what Ive seen over the years

Why bet on Anything ?     Value is my main reason  (subjective)

If f I fancy a team and the odds are favourable...then I will bet draw no bet sometimes knowing I have the draw as a "safety net"

Sounded decent logic  although statistics normally favour the away side to make more bookings

Was at the Forest vs Palace game today.

Forest weren't that bad until the conceeded and then looked completely devoid of ideas. Going to have trouble scoring enough goals to stay up imo. Palace looked an mediocre championship side will probably finish midtable.

A lot of people seem to agree with you about Liverpool Fraser... the price just keeps dropping.

I have to say I'm stumped as to why though... Liverpool's home form has been shocking, Suarez isn't playing, Newcastle have been scoring all season and have nearly a full squad again.

I'm a Liverpool fan and generally try to stay away from Liverpool matches when betting, but I can't ignore this price. Last time I checked Liv were 1.53 in the Match Odds.

I've laid a lump at the low price on Betfair, thinking that if the match starts reasonably evenly as I expect it to that people will come to their senses and the price will be driven up to 1.68/1.69ish within 15-20 mins, allowing me to trade to a profit.

I think Liverpool should edge this match, but for me they won't have it all their own way, which is what the price suggests.

Paddy Power are still going 4- 7 but are restricting bets

Logic re what you say about Newcastle.. I just think Liverpool  will have too much for them  ( Ba plays )

A perfect stage for Carroll and Bellamy  ( confirmed attack ) against their old club + the Anfield crowd etc should see them home

Not sure its wisdom but Ill give you my opinion as Ive already looked closely at this one

All 3 results are possible as  any Liverpool team with Gerrard at the hearbeat and Bellamy on fire has a good chance...however Manchester City have scored any average of 3.11 goals  every premiership game at home this season which is a phenomanal figure so The odds correctly have them as favourites .

Conclusion...Before making a decision its essential to find out if Gerrrard starts for Liverpool as he is massive player ...if he doesnt then you would have to favour city however its too close to call so Im afraid my advice would be No Bet

Sheffield Wednesday are my team but follow the premiership very closely especially the relegation / to stay up market.

You asked for my advice and told you the way I see it   :) I think its pointless advising a bet without an edge or price value and Im afraid nothing stands out here.

Although a draw is feasible if anybody ever recomends it ( unless it suits both sides like in a group format ) its ostensibly a guess rather than a bet based on logic .

Good Luck which ever option you go for  :)

I've dabbled on 0-0 in the Wigan/Sunderland game, reckon they'll both be knackered and settle for a point.

I thought Newcastle were a very well balanced hard working unit away at Liverpool

Manchester United however were very lame at home to Blackburn and need a massive improvement

Newcastle will be more less be at full strength & no doubt Fergie will make changes for a Man Utd (Giggs ,Ferdinand and Rooney in contention according to sky sports ) team under pressure to close the gap on Man City,

At present I dont see too much in the teams so given the home crowd /advantage I feel that Newcastle at 3 -1 draw no bet  (7 -2 on betfair )   is a very big price / value  WON

Some are easier than others agreed, but they do have Barton out for the next 2 premiership games..their next 3 are Newcastle away( very difficult ) Wigan at home  (depends which Wigan turn up ) Villa away (very difficult )

Obviously the transfer window is open but even with money to spend I think they will struggle to attract quality players, thus making a team that in its last 11 games  1 won, drawn 2, and lost 8 ridiculously over priced even taking into account the next 7/8 games...Just my very strong opinion  :)

Man City..will probably win the premiership( the question i there anybody good enough to go past them ? ) and If you are going to have a bet you could do a lot worse than just about the right price @ 1-2

As regards the carling cup ..I thinks its best left alone(city could win of course ) as maybe  Liverpool could turn them over in the semis

My opinion is that Villa are a poor team with a manager who must have pulled out his wank sock 10 times over when he realised a Premier league club were after him after his time taking the hugely negative Brum down.  There performance v Chelsea was decent but not spectactular and while that will buy him time, Villa will finish around 13-15th and Villa fans will have wet tear filled pillows for the forseeable future.  Villa have lost 5 from 10 at home, they were a difficult game away v MON's side, not now.

Thats my opinion.  :)

Agree that Villa away isn't "very difficult", they are in a slump, lost to Swansea who have a terrible away record and Villa fans against there manager from day 1.

I'd get involved with City at that price if it weren't for the run Man U are on, only team who make me less want to back against them when they're in a mini blip, plus City have a lot of midfielders missing which is where they would crush Man U.

I wouldn't back us at 8/11, QPR have the new manager factor and we are still unproven for how we are going to cope without Tiote/Ba, this would be a definite fade for me. Also recent results at home against Swansea/WBA add to me wanting to fade this.

Going in again with big bet on Man City  to beat Spurs after team news  @ 10-11

Which bit of team news inspired you to do that?

The team news put me off backing City.

Savic has been terrible every time I have seen him. Richards at cb would have been much better imo.

Nasri has been very disappointing so far.

Also Balotelli >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Dzeko.

I want City to win for my outright bet, but I couldn't back them today at 10/11 with forged currency.

the 11- 1 is 32 reds old price not updated yet..

66 -1 is with sky bet , who might lay you £1 if you are lucky...but there is 50-1 with b365 and chandlers who tend to play the game.

Considering Newcastle are 1 point in front of Liverpool who are 4-1 tops , I think 66-1 is a very big price and worth a tickle especially when they get the Senegal sharp shooters back from Africa

A definite good value find sir

please let me know if Sky bet lay you anything   :)

Ten teams playing in the 3 o' clock games have managed 1 goal between them at half time, in fact there have been more red cards than goals.

Seems that making sure you don't get beaten for 70 minutes and then see how it stands is becoming the norm in a huge % of these games.

Not withstanding my season long bet on QPR to be relegated I think Liverpool will win tonight at a good price

If this match was held at Anfield Liverpool they would be a minimum 2-7 shot so 17-20 looks very over priced

I  think this is worth "a maximum " bet Ill let you decide the amount (£200 wins £170 + stake back )

Ladbrokes is the place to bet @17-20 and if that fails Coral @ 5 -6

Todays game was bigger for Chelsea than the CL game, and they where poor, Spurs should've won.

On Sunday (4pm kick off )West Brom to beat Newcastle  draw no bet looks value @4 -6 with Boyles or Stan James  (8-15 elsewhere)  If you cant get 4 -6 or better I suggest no bet

Hi Ray ...hope you are well.... apologies..didnt see your last post

Yes I think last time I tipped liverpool to beat to the toon and before that you boys to turn over Man U'td so was 2 from 2

They played well yesterday and thourghly deserved the result...I didnt have a big bet so still turned out to be a good weekend with QPR losing to "your mates"  :)

I think they will be up for it against Liverpool next weekend...3-0  Cisse2 Ba1   :)

I am good mate thanks, yourself ?

Yeah we where excellent yday, or at least in the 1st half we where, Ben Arfa was amazing. It's very unlikely that Liverpool will end up with an 0 at the end of Sunday, Colo is out so our defence may well be Williamson/Perch at CB. Willaimson is in the worst form he's ever shown since coming here and Perch has always looked dodgy to me in defence although he's played well recently, albeit in a midfield role.

There has been a big market move for Liverpool Today,  a team out of form losing its last 2 matches to bottom 3 sides in QPR & Wigan

Newcastle looked great when winning at West Brom Last week with Ben Arfa on fire + a goal threat of Cisse & Ba .

Although without Collicini in defence  today they will have the passionate 50,000 + Geordie home ground behind them ...

I think with the market move for Liverpool  it has left Newcastle at a big price so11 - 8 draw no bet @ BET  Victor or Bet 365 represents tremendous value

Going against the grain again...just really pointing out a very big (wrong ) price for Wigan to win at Chelsea today

Im not saying they will win but they have come into form ( Beating Liverpool away & Stoke )and the price is ridiculously big at 11-1 draw no bet

I  think the main bet for me today are Norwich playing  Everton at fortress Carrow Road.

They represent decent value too as they can be backed at  11-10 draw no bet
