Title: QQ Post by: celtic on November 30, 2011, 02:52:21 PM I'm try and post as many hands as I can from my upcoming cash game sessions, so apologies in advance for flooding PHA.
Some of the posts will prob seem quite straight forward, but would still like the views of other please. Right, 1st hand then... Been at the table for about two hours. IMO, there are only two decent players, thought some weird stuff by one of them later on, has me doubting myself about his ability. So, it's straddled to £4, utg limps, as does utg+1. I make it £24 from c£480, dubious abilty player makes it £79 from the cut off, from £350, and now the utg limper ships for £550. Back to me. What do we do? UTG limper has limp r/r twice, once showing aces, and once kings. This makes our decision easy? Title: Re: QQ Post by: silverslick on November 30, 2011, 03:12:32 PM It is a fold for me
Title: Re: QQ Post by: boldie on November 30, 2011, 03:27:03 PM Clear fold for me.
BTW, i make it £20 pre Title: Re: QQ Post by: muckthenuts on November 30, 2011, 03:35:10 PM UTG limper has limp r/r twice, once showing aces, and once kings. Title: Re: QQ Post by: scotty77 on November 30, 2011, 05:42:46 PM raise pre size in fine. in a straddled live game I wouldn't mind even 30ish here
think its a fold now tho. Title: Re: QQ Post by: nirvana on November 30, 2011, 05:53:59 PM This is a totally form dependent spot
Title: Re: QQ Post by: titaniumbean on November 30, 2011, 05:54:33 PM raise pre size in fine. in a straddled live game I wouldn't mind even 30ish here think its a fold now tho. +1 Title: Re: QQ Post by: Rod on November 30, 2011, 08:24:58 PM Totally standard fold in my opinion.
Title: Re: QQ Post by: paulhouk03 on November 30, 2011, 08:34:16 PM ask for a chop?

Title: Re: QQ Post by: TommyD on December 01, 2011, 08:11:49 PM Easy fold, plus you have the added bonus that Mr Dubious may well call him off and you might get to see if he's adjusted to limp/RR with a wider range on someone else's money.
Title: Re: QQ Post by: celtic on December 01, 2011, 08:46:49 PM Title: Re: QQ Post by: celtic on December 01, 2011, 08:50:37 PM I folded, not sure I woulda folded to Mr dubious. Utg limper had aa ofc, dubious guy folded AK.
Title: Re: QQ Post by: railtard1 on December 03, 2011, 10:24:08 AM what do we do with KK?
Title: Re: QQ Post by: TommyD on December 03, 2011, 11:26:28 AM what do we do with KK? Cry? Surely it still should be a fold if we are sure that UTG is only capable of doing this with KK+. Yes in game I would still call it off, they are Kings obviously, but in theory when UTG is playing so face up isn't it still a fold? Title: Re: QQ Post by: celtic on December 03, 2011, 11:58:52 AM what do we do with KK? I do a call Marc. Thoughts on folding QQ here? Title: Re: QQ Post by: mulhuzz on December 03, 2011, 03:30:17 PM what do we do with KK? I do a call Marc. Thoughts on folding QQ here? Aren't QQ and KK the same hand here? Title: Re: QQ Post by: celtic on December 03, 2011, 03:32:42 PM what do we do with KK? I do a call Marc. Thoughts on folding QQ here? Aren't QQ and KK the same hand here? Nah, think he prob does the same with KK, but not with QQ Title: Re: QQ Post by: SuuPRlim on December 04, 2011, 12:10:03 AM what do we do with KK? I do a call Marc. Thoughts on folding QQ here? Aren't QQ and KK the same hand here? the difference is that KK blocks KK (lol) so if say he is light here X% of the time, the 12 combos of AA/KK (assuming no other value hand) become 7 and its means he is marginally more likely to have air by taking 44%ish of his value hands out. However in reality he is prolly light here >2% (if that) so the difference is completely negligable. Title: Re: QQ Post by: mulhuzz on December 04, 2011, 01:42:06 AM what do we do with KK? Title: Re: QQ Post by: muckthenuts on December 04, 2011, 03:38:25 AM Interesting, since KK blocks KK do you think this make it an even more of a comfortable fold than QQ? Assuming villian will never make this play with jacks and queens only some of the time.
(Fwiw i have folded kings pre only once in a super obv spot otherwise never) Title: Re: QQ Post by: SuuPRlim on December 04, 2011, 04:23:15 AM Interesting, since KK blocks KK do you think this make it an even more of a comfortable fold than QQ? Assuming villian will never make this play with jacks and queens only some of the time. (Fwiw i have folded kings pre only once in a super obv spot otherwise never) no it makes it more of a get in because from a pure mathematical view he is MORE likely to be bluffing. although true stats are polly something like the % he has air increases by like 1.1% lol so its barely even worth talking about Title: Re: QQ Post by: cambridgealex on December 04, 2011, 05:12:32 AM maybe im missing the point but how are KK and QQ the same hand??!
If we have KK, we beat QQ. If we have QQ we're crushed by KK. Am I on level one again? ???
