Title: Bash flashbacks Post by: RED-DOG on January 09, 2006, 02:20:43 PM There is loads of stuff I want to say about the bash, people and inciedents I want to mention
Theres far to many for someone as lazy as me to do all at once, so I'm going to add them to this thread as they occur to me Feel free to do the same Title: Re: Bash flashbacks Post by: tikay on January 09, 2006, 02:25:36 PM Same from me, I have loads of stuff to tell you about, & peeps to thank & stuff, & as the day goes on, I will be Posting a fair bit of stuff - if I can eventually manage to wake up properly, I'm wrecked.

Assorted Blondeites having post Bash breakfast and putting bill onto Ironside's room I spot a trend............. I will leave Heid's niece, about to sign up here, to paint the picture of Ironside's face in Spearmint Rhino's.......... Title: Re: Bash flashbacks Post by: tikay on January 09, 2006, 02:47:13 PM Quote from Kiv to Jane AKA Ginger "when you get bored of sleeping with that puff gis a bell ok?" Classic! Title: Re: Bash flashbacks Post by: RED-DOG on January 09, 2006, 02:50:43 PM I have to congratulate Mr Tightend on the quiz, We really enjoyed it
when I saw how well organised it was I think I got some idea of just how much hard work he put in, from setting the questions, (which were piched at just the right level) sorting out the format, doing all the printing, and most of all for being such a great question master (The "pies" round was pure genius) Tighty is perhaps the only one amongst us who could have made this the roaring success it was, people were still talking about it and re hashing the questions when I left at about 2am, Mrs Red said It was her favorite part of the weekend and the Scots are already thinking up ways to cheat at the next one :D I know it was hard work Mr End, but it was worth it Thank you Title: Re: Bash flashbacks Post by: TightEnd on January 09, 2006, 02:55:23 PM Me Beating some fish called Colclough Heads Up. Now that's a flashback.
Tikay rivering me twice in the cash game and M3Boy calling my raise with 23off. Expensive flashbacks. The look on Kiv's face when Heidi's niece sat down next to him. Priceless flashback DC passing to a 300 bet on the end from Kezza into a 6000 Pot on a board of 8h 7s 6s Aspades Kh and showing an Ace. Kezza had 7c 3d, and she minimum raised him on the turn and the river. Muppet flashback VodkaVamp's reply to my question on how many Vodkas's she had had: "24". Tired and emotional flashback Indestructable, Gatso, cupcake's team in the Quiz....hopeless flashback Title: Re: Bash flashbacks Post by: ifm on January 09, 2006, 02:55:49 PM I echo that, especially liked the way Tikay went "to mingle" during every round ::)
Then caught Bongo googling on his mobile, also Teacake admitting to cheating as i was leaving!!! The Jocks were worthy winners (they were deducted 10 points and still won by 6!!). It was well run, and strictly!! we tried to get some leeway on a few questions but no chance! Many thanks to Tighty for saving our embarrassment by giving us a points total that was higher than the number of questions we actually attempted. Thankfully most people didn't witness Dan and Cupcake's masterclass in how not to cheat in quizzes, firstly leaving the phone on loudspeaker whilst asking for answers as Tightend was walking past, secondly changing our (only) correct answer in the nature round to 'fish' because that's what google said. Poor Indestructable, we ignored so many of his correct answers for our inspired guesses Title: Re: Bash flashbacks Post by: Indestructable on January 09, 2006, 05:46:15 PM rotflmfao

The cards were: 8s 8d 7s Aspades Ts Jo checked twice in the dark and Paul checked behind her and on the river Jo bet about 10k into a 20k pot. Paul folded, I think an ace. Jo shows. Qc Jc :respect: Title: Re: Bash flashbacks Post by: langboy on January 09, 2006, 08:16:27 PM It's all true folks,

Of course he had aces. Title: Re: Bash flashbacks Post by: lazaroonie on January 10, 2006, 08:36:17 AM just remembered another funny bit - the news at our table was that snoopy's brother had offered a "free drink all night" bounty for the player to knock snoopy out. After I had fortunately managed to do that, no-one would take my raises seriously, thinking that I was trying to bust myself out to get to the bar.
The good thing for me though, was I did have the cards, so managed to go from 2500 to around 17000 in the space of 10 minutes, :) Title: Re: Bash flashbacks Post by: thetank on January 10, 2006, 09:01:37 AM Raising the Nun's blind with 47o and then bluffing her off the J 5 3 flop when she held pkt 6's.
I think she knew I was at it. She probably just felt sorry for me or something. Bullying Simon Trumper..... till he knocked me out that is. Feel partly responsible for him winning this, after I pissed all my chips away to him. Title: Re: Bash flashbacks Post by: the_bish on January 10, 2006, 02:17:09 PM An easy one for me....
down to 11 players, pushing from SB with 9h 9s, called by wardonkey with Aspades 6d, flop shows Ahrt we're close in chips - I might be out, but no - I'm down to 600 chips with blinds 5000/10000 then trippling up 3 hands in a row with Js Ks, 8h 8s, Ahrt Kh with Simon sitting behind me asking to see my cards. Hit a boat with the final triple up and went from 600-1800-5400-16200 in the space of 3 hands on the bubble. Simon then knocked someone out and I was in the money. It was a sensational sequence of events for me which I'm sure I'll never forget.... and I made enough noise about it to make sure that no-one at our table will forget it either Title: Re: Bash flashbacks Post by: glenn on January 10, 2006, 03:45:02 PM oh yes Bish I wont forget that grin!!!!!!!!!!!

Playing a 6 seater sit and go with Leon, Paradise Rod, Dave, Skippy and Mr F! Title: Re: Bash flashbacks Post by: thetank on January 13, 2006, 09:24:53 AM Thinking that the light on the turnstile at the casino entrance was a button I had to push to enter.
Pushing it and wondering why I couldn't get in. On Sunday at the first break, saying hello to londonpokergirl Mel and saying that I'd see her again in either half an hour or at the final table. Then feeling a little guilty when she busted out pretty much exactly 30 minutes later. Title: Re: Bash flashbacks Post by: matt674 on January 13, 2006, 09:41:14 AM I remember Foxy minx being on the table Yes, your table was the attractive looking table if i remember correctly (well the english contingent anyway!! :D) but unfortunately Foxy Minx didnt last too long before joining me in the losers enclosure - if i remember rightly the person i'm thinking of was sat two seats to your left Charmaine next to the dealer. The only downside was whenever she leant forward she blocked my view of you!! :'( Title: Re: Bash flashbacks Post by: charmaine on January 13, 2006, 10:28:31 AM Ok i know who you mean now but have no idea who the mystery lady was, good luck on your quest lol

Qd Ad It just looks such a pretty hand, how could I not throw loads of money at it? I walk away muttering that wasn't supposed to happen. Still at least I have learned a valuable lesson. Day 2 Kd Jd Just looks such an appealing hand, completely different to yesterday. I walk away muttering that wasn't supposed to happen. :dontask: Thanks to everyone involved, thought it was really well run. :respect: Today online I am dealt Qd Ad flop Kd 9d 9c I know it will not happen again, i must go all in with this beauty. Sure he will fold straight away. This hand is mine, easy money. he calls immediately, he has a king and followed by a king on the turn beating me with a full house. (http://bestsmileys.com/angry1/1.gif) I will never play this hand again. Title: Re: Bash flashbacks Post by: Indestructable on January 18, 2006, 09:31:54 PM Next game all in with
