Title: Re: Micromillions (another tourney series from stars) Post by: MTT DESTROYER on February 24, 2012, 04:45:09 PM Even low stake grinders can't be thrilled with playing these? Twelve hour grind to cash for $3.78 or something.
Title: Re: Micromillions (another tourney series from stars) Post by: Jon MW on February 24, 2012, 06:28:17 PM Even low stake grinders can't be thrilled with playing these? Twelve hour grind to cash for $3.78 or something. It's not really aimed at low stake grinders though is it? More for recreational players who might be able to afford 1 WCOOP or 2 or 3 of the low SCOOPS, this means they can play a whole festival (if the times weren't in the way of work) That said I think it might be interesting to see the total participation and prize payouts that go with that. Title: Re: Micromillions (another tourney series from stars) Post by: Acidmouse on February 24, 2012, 06:30:45 PM Rare I play MTTs but fancy some of these, esp the non NLH ones.
Title: Re: Micromillions (another tourney series from stars) Post by: craigbetts on February 24, 2012, 11:43:53 PM Even low stake grinders can't be thrilled with playing these? Twelve hour grind to cash for $3.78 or something. I totally agree, would love to beat fields of 20k just to treble my 5 doll stake..... Gtfo, it's all about lucky 63's or the euromillions instead. Title: Re: Micromillions (another tourney series from stars) Post by: mondatoo on February 25, 2012, 12:47:06 AM Not really sure why anyone would be unhappy, so many online festivals so if it's not to your liking, don't play, pretty simple. Good that Stars give the really low stakes players a festival to play.
Title: Re: Micromillions (another tourney series from stars) Post by: George2Loose on February 25, 2012, 12:54:09 AM If it increases the traffic of regular comps then good
If it slows the server down then bad Title: Re: Micromillions (another tourney series from stars) Post by: JK on February 25, 2012, 01:09:17 AM Personally think its awesome. Gives broke grinders like me a chance to play a massive schedule for decent prizepools (granted its only really worth it if you win but yeah)
Title: Re: Micromillions (another tourney series from stars) Post by: mondatoo on February 25, 2012, 01:29:24 AM If it increases the traffic of regular comps then good If it slows the server down then bad Oh yeah lol, totally ignore what I said, FUCK YOU STARS in advance. Title: Re: Micromillions (another tourney series from stars) Post by: action man on February 25, 2012, 04:01:37 AM low stakes grinders are already in paradise on stars, put something midstakes up plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Title: Re: Micromillions (another tourney series from stars) Post by: snoopy1239 on February 25, 2012, 10:42:09 AM What's the difference between these and all the low buy-in tournaments they usually run?
Title: Re: Micromillions (another tourney series from stars) Post by: Longy on February 25, 2012, 02:29:31 PM What's the difference between these and all the low buy-in tournaments they usually run? The guarentees obv. I would guess the field sizes are going to be massive. Half the total buyin (- rake) is a bounty and half goes to the prizepool. Title: Re: Micromillions (another tourney series from stars) Post by: Graham C on February 25, 2012, 02:45:04 PM Quick Stars q that I'd like to know (nothing to do with this)
When it says that it's a 3xTurbo - what does the 3x mean? I can't see the difference between these and normal ones. Title: Re: Micromillions (another tourney series from stars) Post by: pokerfan on February 25, 2012, 03:01:31 PM Quick Stars q that I'd like to know (nothing to do with this) When it says that it's a 3xTurbo - what does the 3x mean? I can't see the difference between these and normal ones. The rb period is 3x. Standard turbo rb is 30 mins, 2x 1 hr so 3x is 90 minutes. Title: Re: Micromillions (another tourney series from stars) Post by: Ironside on February 25, 2012, 03:04:56 PM Quick Stars q that I'd like to know (nothing to do with this) 3xturbo rebuy after 90 mins rebuy ends dbl rebuy gets you 6000 chips blinds resume at 1.5k/3k lucky you get a 30 k add on I love these nightly compsWhen it says that it's a 3xTurbo - what does the 3x mean? I can't see the difference between these and normal ones. Title: Re: Micromillions (another tourney series from stars) Post by: SuuPRlim on February 25, 2012, 03:12:28 PM one thing I won't be doing is attempting to play any poker on stars whilst these are running.
the servers are literally gg'd during that $22 main imo Title: Re: Micromillions (another tourney series from stars) Post by: vegaslover on February 25, 2012, 11:36:08 PM Great for the micro stakes players, probs terrible for everyone else. Servers never gonna handle the traffic based on the problems they've had this year
