Title: Happy Birthday Post by: ManuelsMum on April 23, 2012, 08:13:37 PM ZX Spectrum.....30 years today (I suddenly feel old)
Very very low-end technology by today's standards, but you don't need great graphics for great game play. Best game? Knight Lore imo http://www.twinbee.org/hob/play.php?snap=knightlore Title: Re: Happy Birthday Post by: Woodsey on April 23, 2012, 08:15:34 PM The way of the exploding fist was pretty addictive :)

Title: Re: Happy Birthday Post by: Laxie on April 23, 2012, 08:51:03 PM I miss the Happy Birthday threads on Blonde. I loved doing them but felt bad for people who got few or no replies so stopped it since November-ish. Title: Re: Happy Birthday Post by: Claw75 on April 23, 2012, 08:59:17 PM <3 chucky egg. had to play on my cousins' spectrum coz we had a bbc model b - seemed much less cooler somehow. best game on that was ghouls - check out the awesome graphics.

They were high tech back then. I wrote a program once that was a currency converter that changed between two different currencies for a project, amazing times.

Title: Re: Happy Birthday Post by: MANTIS01 on April 24, 2012, 12:44:45 AM I feel sorry for anybody who owned a rubber key spazzy spectrum when the advanced technical delights of the commodore 64 were freely available. Way of the Exploding Fist and Daley's are good shouts as well as School Daze, Spy Hunter, and Yie Ar Kung Fu. However, I make moneys crushing friends at Pro Evo these days so pay thanks to the hundreds of hours spent honing my tactical skills on International Superstar Soccer, superb graphics and realistic gameplay.
