Post by: LonOhRay on April 26, 2012, 08:44:20 PM Just a heads up if you have an account on the 2+2 forums, I know they may be seen as a rival or whatever but from the message 2+2 have released looks like it could be problematic.

Post by: kinboshi on April 27, 2012, 07:59:41 AM This just reiterates that you should never use the same passwords for websites such as forums (that aren't always that secure) as you do on any sites that hold more sensitive data (such as your email account, facebook) or sites where you have a financial risk (banking, poker, etc.).

My banking and credit cards are all very secure so not worried there. I've just changed the couple accounts I had that used the same password and cancelled my cards while I work through betting/poker accounts. If you don’t know what your 2p2 password is, go to 2p2 (whose forums are down but whose servers are still up), log out, and then try logging in again to check your password. It must be very difficult to shut a large part of your business down for days at a time because you've decided that your website is insecure. I think most people would just cover it up and do ;whistle; and hope it was OK. Good integrity tekkers, methinks.
