We would expect 250 at Nottingham. If it falls short, I'm in trouble, and I'm gonna blame Tighty....

The Guarantee is based on 250.

A shame the events have clashed, but the weekend was clear when we booked it 10 months ago.

Quick note to remind anyone thinking of playing this - if you cash in the Event, payment will NOT be at DTD in cash, ALL payments are into your Account on Sky Poker.com, no exceptions.

You do not have to have a Sky Poker account to play the event (a limited number of seats have been allocated for DTD to sell direct), but you WILL need an account to cash out.

Up to 120 into the main event now

Quick straw poll, many others on here plannin to satellite in, or buy in at DTD (you can do so over the counter)?

Only 5 people in this week's semi-final so far, which is light compared to previous weeks. Could be a good chance to secure that seat...

Bit of a chirp but I won this on Sunday night.
Only 20-odd players and I believe only 20 last night so plenty value to be had.

Morning Dai.

You will be able to buy in on the day IF there are any seats remaining. If it sells out, there will be an Alternates List.

Late Reg is likely to be for three Levels, though we may make it longer.

Hope you are well, & we see you next Saturday.

Worth coming along, as I am going to try & persuade a major poker superstar, a true legend of the game, to attend, sign autographs, & play.

Just to check, will this apply to side events as well?

Hi Mr Smoky.

1) No, it is NOT capped at 250, but to a degree, it depnds how many dealers DTD have available. So it MAY get capped at 250. Be nice to get 300 though, or even more.

2) Winnings from the Sky Poker Tour SIDE Events are paid at DTD, in cash, as per a normal Tournament. Only the Main Event winnings are paid directly into your Sy Poker Acccount.

3) Cashing out? As easy & quick as on any reputable site.

Hope to see you there.

The SPT nightly Quarter Final (£16)will now run at 8:30pm (as opposed to 9:30pm) tonightand Wednesday.

The SPT Micro sats will run as per usual (except each one will be an hour earlier to co-inside with the earlier Quarter Final)

The SPT Weekly Semi Final (£72) will run on Thursday night at 8:30pm

I'm having a bit of a dither about this as playing golf in a medal on Saturday.

How many chips would I lose if I were to turn up around 5.30pm.?

Late entry closes at 4 pm, so you'd have to buy in upfront and blind away. I estimate you'd lose 3,500 based on 2-3 orbits per level and have 26k+ at 150-300 25 or the level after

It would be proper grand if you could be there, Ralph.

It is unfortunate that it  clashes with UKIPT Newcastle, too, but presumably 70% of the UKIPT field will bust on days 1a and 1b (Thursday and Friday) and I'm rather hoping a few of the lads will then come play our event.

Whatever, we are hoping for a fun event.

Anna Fowler will be there too, I know she would love to meet you.

When I open that page, the first 4 are ALL of Anna, but maybe it rotates the images.

Some confusion may arise, though, because her day job is as a professional photographer, & she has a Studio in Fulham or somewhere equally posh.

She will be at the SPT Grand Final at DTD this weekend to conduct "interviews to camera" for Channel 865.

She's a really smashing kid, no edge or attitude, what you see is what you get, & she is an absolute delight to work with. She does the "dumb girl" routine, but she's as bright as a button, very sharp indeed.

Do you recruit yourself, Tikay?

The Nick Persaud image is for Poker Channel, for whom Anna used to work, might still do, I'm not sure.

Do I recruit the "Talent"? No, not as such.

They split easily into 2 groups - Presenters, & Analysts or Experts.

The Presenters (Anna, Sarah, Hartigan, Orford etc), are by definition professional TV presenters. Agencies send us names, we give them screen tests (I'm always the stooge in the screen-tests - I make a good stooge) but I have no further input really.

The Analysts/Experts - I don't recruit as such, but I get a major say in recommending who we use, advising as to their suitability, in fact that was my first role at Sky Poker - Consultant to the TV Channel. Understanding poker is only a small part of being a TV Poker analyst - more important, FAR more important, is their ability to get "on message", understand & deliver "call to action", using acceptable language & tone, much of which seems to be a very tough ask for some.

I've just tried to buy in for this but the DTD shop doesn't seem to be working currently.

So I tried to deposit into my sky account to register that way and it's been suspended!

I finally got into the DTD shop and my card was declined so after half an hour on the phone finding out that something had triggered a "fraud block" my card was back in working order and I am now registered. I've never worked so hard to enter a poker tourney.

It's a good job that bird is dying to meet me..

OK, while you work on unsuspending your account, or until the DTD shop works again, rest assured I will keep a seat aside

let me know if you manage to buy in through one of the two options above (preferable, but if it isn't possible so be it)

Yes, good luck to all blondes, blondites, blondettes and blondiphiles.

Tikay, hope you and your gang have a sweatless, fun-packed weekend.

I have been kicked out from the bins outside DTD as landlord-tenant legislation apparently doesn't apply to elves. So, Tighty, I shalln't be scuttling around DTD avoiding updaters like some form of ninja poster. I can hear your relief from here.

Have good one, one and all.

What a shame you cannot join us, the atmo there tonight was wonderful, & we got 157 runners for tonight's £50 Sidey.

Sweatless? It is always a sweat when Hosting an event until it gets started, then it's usually just fine.

Played really well.  Really didn't allow anyone to do much but had so many chips it just didn't matter.  Knocked me out but glad he took it down :)

Saw the deal on Actionjacks wall. £15k each playy for £1k + trophy. Does anyone know the chip counts at the time. Gotta assume that they got back to pretty even?

Deal
Howard £19,000

Jackson £15,000

Macdonald £15,000

Playing for £1500 and the trophy

Paul & Sam had bout 2.5m, James had about a million more

Dewi is correct.

Paul was 2nd at the time, & had a very small chip advantage over Sam.

After the deal, Paul then exited, & Sam eventually won the trophy.

He did when the Final commenced, (he had 3 million of the 8.5 million in play), he re-distributed most of them, & then won them back.

I'm very pleased to hear you think it made a lot of sense.
