22 to 88 (obv not 44)? What is his image? I think the flopped straight is a possibility, and he is turning it into a bluff. Maybe Ahrtx? Even flopped flush? As you may gather I have no idea. How can he like the last 4 so much to bet 8.2k? Really looks like a bluff now. Assuming he sees you as good tight, he is "value betting" big because you know that he knows etc. Therefore in summary, looks like a bluff, isn't a bluff, so 88 for me. What did you have? Title: Re: WCOOP River Line Post by: TL900 on September 03, 2012, 05:54:27 PM seems like 99-QQ like all the time

Title: Re: WCOOP River Line Post by: rfgqqabc on September 03, 2012, 09:00:44 PM whats the least likely hand you expect to see here? 5h 6h? Ahrt 6h? His range ott is pretty nutted right? At least like flushes/boats, maybe some weird floaty shit like 89? Some people just have no clue how to react to donks. Woulda been $2-- buyin right? Could easily be some surprising shit. If your asking least likely hand leads me to think you called. He have 5h 4d? Title: Re: WCOOP River Line Post by: youthnkzR on September 04, 2012, 01:15:53 AM Ahrt x
Title: Re: WCOOP River Line Post by: pleno1 on September 04, 2012, 01:20:19 AM To me it just looks like he can't he a value range with such a large sandwich on the piano. If he was goin for thin value with 10a or somali then I'd expect a smaller size to both potentially induce or to get a thin call.
I decided to be a hero Otr and hoped to see ah x but it was potentially optimistic. Title: Re: WCOOP River Line Post by: TL900 on September 04, 2012, 01:23:30 AM exactly why its become a regular thing in mtt's to bomb the river sorta thin but knowing you always have the best hand, I do it alot with 1 pair alot otr when I feel i always have the best hand, it confuses people and you can get looked up pretty light from pure confusion/curiosity whereas if you bet half-2/3 pot they might just fold and presume u have it.

he can have 77 / 88 also alot of 45ss. however in all reality though there are some spazzes about that could show up with 910ss / J10ss. Vs a reg im calling (Agree with TL900's point about bombing the river thinish when we know we have the best hand - Its something i also do - However i dont think this is a spot in which villan will do this). Even if the villan is a random then im still calling i think (although slightly more reluctantly). (Obviously from pleno's previous reply villan was nutted but i dont think its the case a hugh % of the time). Title: Re: WCOOP River Line Post by: pleno1 on September 04, 2012, 12:31:18 PM he had 55

Not surprised it's a small pair, as said earlier, and the bomb on the river screams value bet big as is the fashion, hoping you call light. I just don't understand his call on the turn. Actually, I guess if he calls the flop he has to call the turn. But still he is burning money against half the deck on the river looking at your range. What was your plan on a 2d river? |
