Monda bestowed the honour of running a quiz to me, so i thought i would try something a little different. I've had loads of ideas for quizzes over the years but never got close to winning one.. as I'm likely to never win one I thought I would do a little mashup of some of my fav ideas.  

Rules:
Listen to the clip on each slide, then answer the question at the bottom of the slide. No need to be pedantic. We all know what I'm trying to get at with each one. :)
Pass as many as you like
If you use google you are only cheating yourself.
All answers PMd to me by midnight Sunday 2nd December with reveal at 8pm Tuesday 4th December.

Scoring:
Gonna flip it on its head and go oldskool. 1 point per correct answer, the person with the most points wins. In the event of a tie we go to DEADLOCK in the form of the tiebreaker question, closest answer on that wins. If that's also a tie I will simply choose who I like the most.

Quiz master's answer is final.

I tried to cater for all tastes but struggled to get Chess in for Tal or a herbiemob question

This seems to be the case for most. I reckon a very low score is going to take the title.

Tested it on my missus and she got 9 correct. Obv been hanging about with me too long.

This seems horrendously difficult.

The whole point of these quizzes should not be to disqualify people who might not know many answers, the whole point of RSQs is to give everyone a chance....

Tighty, that is my point exactly, everyone is starting on the same level playing field. So far everyone has found it difficult, my missus who knows me better than anyone scored 9 so I think 7 would be enough to take this.

I also tried to do questions where google wouldn't be much help as I am pretty sure there are some people out there who can't resist the odd search to up their scores.

imo this is no different to ed's quiz for people who have never met Gascoigne senior or any other quizes really. Plus it saves reading too much.

It's a guessing game. Surely nobody wants to see the same people win the quiz over and over again.

Have about half of them on first play. Q8 will happily act as a sub for a chess question.

That's so difficult it's not funny.

Personally I don't mind that it's not an RSQ, but at the same time the main aim is for them to be accessible to all. This simply isn't. Even if I could answer one or two I wouldn't bother as it feels rubbish compared to the 10-15 available. As a contrast, to enter my upcoming quiz all you need to be able to do is speak English. I would hope all blondes qualify for that criteria.

There's a difference between being difficult in a challenging way so that i'd have to sit down and think about it, and being difficult in the sense that I just don't know. No matter how many times I listen to it I'm not going to know what animal makes that noise.

I should add that when I said don't do the picture one it's cos I'm not strong at picture quizzes. I'm even worse at music based ones!

fwiw my pic quiz ideas one was a close up picture quiz which was really tough and the other was more of a psychological picture quiz where there are 10 images on each slide and you have to choose one.

This audio quiz I thought would be easy for everyone to take part in as even though it seems tough on the surface and you might not know the answer for certain it is simply a case of guessing a year, guessing an animal, guessing a country, guessing a language, guessing a disney film, guessing a footy team etc. All of which I think everyone who is able to type is more than capable of doing. Who cares if you don't know? It's a guessing game. We can't have Tighty winning them all (even though he will probs bink this). Obv my intention wasn't to waste hours of my life putting this together for people to think sod that it's nails and not bother entering, just want people to have a go.

It's okay to guess if you have some idea of the possible answers, but pointless when there are dozens, or even hundreds, of possibilities.

It might be worth giving some options if you want people to make guesses. I can't see much point in shooting in the dark with no possibility of hitting on the answer.

I definatly have 12 so far. Working on the last few.

I had a few ideas on how to do most of the stuff. Seen as this is a "futuristic RSQ", I used up to date methods to gain some answers ;).

It's not an RSQ, but it's brilliant! 10/10 for effort and ingenuity, 0/10 for understanding what an RSQ is, and 3/10 for answerability.

Just listened to it for the first time, and think I can answer maybe half the questions with some hope of getting them right, and the others will have to be a guess!  Could have made a few multiple-choice, but it's your quiz - so ignore the haters.

Yea not knowing what RSQ actually meant probably got me off on the wrong foot.. but I still think I can turn it around. I dream of a time when these quizes will become the norm.

Well, it was my turn to do the RSQ a while ago, but I didn't want to do a hum-drum one and instead was putting together an epic edition, including images, music and video - but it was taking me a while and I lost my turn. Definitely approve of the idea of using video/audio.

Yea I think its a must. Who can be bothered reading? I started using WMM then it lost the plot and wouldn't save or export so had to start again. That time I used AVS4YOU which is utterly incred. Took the time from like 4hrs to 45mins.

Have a lot more ideas but will wait for the dust til settle a while after this one..

if we have to get all technical I can't see me  doing another one. Unless everyone supplies me with their address to send a tape recording there will defo not be an audio one. Also my photobuket says I can't connect to their servers so can't even do pics now.

Thoroughly enjoyable quiz Milli, and great effort on images, videos, sound etc. Until you've run one of these its difficult to understand quite the effort they require. Top bombing.

A big "thank you" to Milli for this, he put so much hard work into constructing the quiz, spamming it, & the Reveal.

It was not an RSQ as such, but that did not detract from the fun.

Tbf the images take about 20 seconds a piece but the audio and video was a ballache.

I was a bit miffed with the Hippo/Rhino question/answer.

I spend half my life watching wildlife shows, all the Attenborough stuff, everything, and to this day, I still cant tell the difference between a rhino & a hippo, or a crocodile & an alligator.
