The Champs League/Europa League/FA/League Cups.

We will be asking MereNovice to do cup draws as an outside, neutral observer.
The draws will be posted in the thread as and when they occur.

The League Cup features 46 teams. The first round will be used to get down to 32 teams.
18 teams will be (randomly assigned) a bye to the 2nd round, the remaining 28 teams will play against each other to produce the remaining 14 teams.
When teams play each other, the highest scoring team that week progresses. In the event of a tie, a virtual coin toss will be used.

In the Europa League we again need to get down to 32 players, who will then be arranged in 8 groups of 4, the top 2 from each group qualifying for a quarter finals, who will then playoff in 2 leg matches until we have a winner.
In the group stages teams will play against each other 'home and away' and the highest scoring team in each tie will be awarded 3 points. In the event of a tie, one point each will be awarded.
In order to get 32 teams for the group stages, a qualifying period of the first 5 weeks of the season will be used. The top scoring 18 teams over that period will be deemed to have qualified for the group stages. The remaining 28 teams will playoff over 2 legs for the remaining places.

In the FA Cup, we have 29 players.
In order to get to 16, 3 teams will be (randomly assigned) a bye to the next round. The remaining 26 teams will be drawn against each other to produce the other 13 teams. Teams will be drawn against each and the highest score progresses. In the event of a tie, a virtual coin toss will be used.

In the Champions League, we have 29 players. As this is close to 32, we will proceed and draw 8 groups of 4 teams, with 3 'byes' to make up the 32. Teams playing the 3 'byes' will automatically record a win. The scoring will follow the Europa League format.

Scoring:
In all Cup matches, NO -4 transfer penalties will accrue.
In the event of ties in 2 leg European matches, a virtual coin toss will decide. Coin tosses to be administered by Merciless MereNovice.

Don't worry if that all seems complicated, score well, you'll qualify, score medium, you might, score low, you won't :)

Europa League (£10 league)

The Europa League is currently in a qualifying phase.
In order to get 32 teams for the group stages, a qualifying period of the first 5 weeks of the season will be used. The top scoring 18 teams over that period will be deemed to have qualified for the group stages. The remaining 28 teams will playoff over 2 legs for the remaining places. After the qualifying period is over the draw for the group stages will take place.
The 2 leg playoffs will take place on GWs 6 + 7.

Rather than virtual coin toss to decide a tie, how about captains points and then vice captains points is used as the tie breaker. Seems fairer that way

There will be a lot of transfer activity in the next week.
If anyone does use their wildcard, they should ideally use it before Saturday night. You want to buy any players that do really well that week (even if you don't intend keeping them) in case anybody rises by £0.2m. In that case, you can then offload them again before the next GW starts and bank the £0.1.
In this week for instance, Naismith went up £0.1m on Saturday night and will probably rise another £0.1m before the next GW starts. So even if you didn't want him, you could bank the profit.

GW4 is just after the international break and after the transfer window has closed so everybody has time to get their teams into shape.

If anyone is thinking about wildcarding, tonight is the time to do it.
Unfortunately the price rise site I linked is having trouble accurately predicting rises/falls at the moment as FPL has changed their formula this year. But you have a 2 week window now until the next GW and it's still relatively easy to guess.
Buy the players that are going to rise by at least £0.2m (Costa/Naismith/Siggy/Ivanovic, etc), sell the players you have that may drop (Mata/Rooney/Bojan/Giroud, etc) and then the night before the next GW, sell the players you don't want, buy back the players you do want and you have your brand, spanking new team and some extra money in the bank.
Obviously it goes without saying, don't wildcard if you're happy with your team.

Daz, I'm assuming point hits count in the cups, eg if you have 1 free transfer but use 2 then 4 points will be deducted from your weekly score?

No, points hits will not count against your score in any cup or European games.
The reason for this is simple. I can't be arsed individually going into 32 teams and seeing how many hits people took. Too much admin.
Your weekly score as it appears on league table will be your Cup/Euro score.

Okay, we got a draw in tie 25. A couple of people expressed reservations about the 'virtual coin toss' way of resolving draws so we'll go with a replay next week for that tie. this week he was against a "top 6" team, with man u liverpool and chelsea all up againsr

What player can you make a better case for?
He wasn't captained other weeks coz people have only recently bought him or because there was fitness doubts or there was compelling evidence to go for Costa. Argentina only played friendlies in the international break and he didn't play the last one at all so he was fresh whereas others played 2 competitive games.

Spurs might be a top 6 team but they are still fragile, Aguero has a good record against them and crucially City were at home (where they are historically very strong) and Chelsea were away and Costa had his own fitness worries in any case. Pool didn't have any captaincy options bar maybe Sterling (I think people are mad to captain Balotelli {cue a hat trick tomorrow!}) and I don't fancy them too much without Sturridge. United aren't convincing yet either. Di Maria is a decent shout but Aguero was a better one for this week imo.
If City had been away to Spurs, it's a different question I guess. City at home to Chelsea might be the only home game I'd be reluctant to give Aguero the captaincy.
Sanchez (who also scored well) would have been a good shout, again coz he was at home against a team Arsenal would be expected to score a few against.

Yeah I crucially failed to check if Aguero played in the friendlies in the week, so I went for Sterling as captain. He got me out of it at the end, so I guess it could have been worse.

Amazing admin upkeep guys. Possible to be cheeky and ask for a list for all the expected cup activity by week please? Reading back I see it's the league cup this week but not sure if champs league continues this week or not + planning ahead for next week opponents would be easier etc. Not sure if replays messes up this idea with the fixtures needing to be fluid though?

I'll give you a quote I read today from one of the best players at this game. This guys world rankings for the last 6 years are 2730th, 18446th, 4219th, 852nd, 19th, 96th. He's good :)
His comments in bold.

"Certainly the most common mistake I see, and it's probably even more common in players who have had a bad start, is chasing "differentials". It obviously works both ways, if you ignore the popular pick you fall behind if he does well.
Someone joked but it is true - try to get the most points you can. Some long term planning included here, but "do you take points hits" again is a silly question - if it will get you more points (including the team value question) do it. If not don't.
Similarly some players have "strategies" like "2 big strikers ". Fine if there are 2 and only 2 but if 2 don't exist, or three exist that are worth picking it soon falls over."

His final chance is in two weeks time. Then he is gone if doesn't get his form back. Probably going to shift to 3-5-2 anyway

I don't like advising people what to do as you can look pretty silly if it backfires.
But your team is pretty solid, the 1 standout weak link is Ulloa. He hadn't even had a shot in the last 4 games, leading up to the WBA game (dunno if he had one in that?).
He is losing value rapidly. I think you bought at £5.8m? He's now £5.6m and likely to drop again at least once this week.
Sakho has scored in his last 6 games, if he gets one in the next game, he's broken the premiership record. He's £5.8m, you have the money to get him. It looks an absolute no brainer to me?
The one caveat is that Sakho is currently 'injured' with a shoulder problem. However he was touch and go for the last game and had a fitness test on the day. Presumably he'll be fine for this weekend. You could go Austin (£5.7m) if Sakhos fitness is too much of a risk.

I linked a player price rise/fall site earlier in the thread but as I said, FPL have changed their formula this year and they are finding it harder to correctly assess rises/drops. This site seems the most accurate at the moment;

As a West Ham fan it's nice to see people recommending Sakho! To think after that deal was virtually completed we pulled out leaving Sakho devastated (coming from Metz in French Ligue 2 tho granted just promoted - huge move for him!) and his agents rightly very angry all because we thought we had a chance of getting Connor Wickham from Sunderland! A few days later Sakho is signed and happy after Sunderland repeatedly told us no chance, I'm obv very happy with how things have turned out (so far!)... and a little embarrassed for being upset we couldn't get Wickham and had to settle with Sakho:) As TheDazzler said everything points to him being fit for villa, let's hope! Mostly yes. Only reason to be good is if you have a plan over next 1-2 weeks to afford a premium player and are shifting your formation fundamentally

Surely must be somewhere to upgrade pads! All 3 strikers good but I'd prefer at least 1 "big hitter" up there (Aguero!) even if just for a safe/reliable captaincy choice.

Absolutely 100%, without any question whatsover, that is unquestionally terrible.
Here's the key thing. Get your money on the pitch.
The historically best formation is 3-4-3.
3 strikers who you play every week. 4 midfielders you play every week, (with 1 x 5th mid base price £4.5m who plays every week).
And in defence it's a little more complicated. 1 big (eg Baines), 4 rotating based on fixtures base price. 2 big, 3 rotating. 3 big, 2 rotating. Whatever, the defence is the only position where the traditional template is somewhat flexible but you will always have at least 2 base price (£4m) defenders.   
But put your money on the pitch. £8m in the bank means at least 2 transfers before you're spending all that money.
But having called that 4bet oop with J4 off suit, maybe you'll flop 2 pair :)

Just wanted to say what a sick level of competition there is in this group! I crept into the top 1% overall today yet don't even make the top 10 of the £10 league :0

Actually mate, you're doing pretty well for your debut season. You're in the top 10% of players after all.
One good thing you're doing is you're very disciplined on taking point hits, you haven't had any! You probably should do a couple and your team at the moment could certainly do with a bit of surgery. The thing most novice players do is they do too many hits and they aren't buying wisely in the 1st place which just compounds it.
You've spent waaaaaaay too much in defence and keepers and that has a knock on effect meaning you have a weak midfield and relatively light attack. You need to move the money out of defence/keepers and into midfield and attack.
If I had your team, this is what I'd do.
Aguero is tearing the game apart so he would be my 1st priority.
I'd sell Pelle+Jags+Tadic and buy Aguero+Yun+Downing. The beauty of that is, it is wise to have at least 2 good captain choices. Rooney+Aguero fit the bill and they rotate perfectly as one is always at home every week.
The following week I'd sell Lovren+Rodwell+Valencia and buy Hutton+Siggy+Kane.
I'd selll most of the rest too :) but that would be the main problems.

It's good that you're disciplined about points hits but I don't think you should be dogmatic about it. Sometimes points hits are good and are needed. I might take one on average once every 4 weeks.
The default template formation is 3-4-3. This has been the most successful formation every year since the inception of the game.
Ideally you'll want 2 base priced defenders (£4m-ish) and 1 base midfielder (£4.5m-ish) who all play regularly. With keepers, my preference is 2 x rotating £4.5m keepers but there are many schools of thought on keepers.
The reason for having such cheap enablers is so that you can spend the maximum amount on the remaining 10 players. Get your money on the pitch.

With keepers, I rotate 2 'smalls', (Foster/Krul). Obviously Krul is currently injured.
In defence you can have 2 'bigs', (eg. Baines/Azpilicueta) and 1 medium, (eg. Chambers) and then 2 base price (eg. Yun/Hutton)
In midfield you could have 2 bigs (eg. Sanchez/Hazard), 2 mediums, (eg. Downing/Sigurdsson) and 1 base (eg. Boyd)
In attack you could have 2 bigs (eg. Aguero/Costa) and 1 medium (eg. Bony) or 1 cheap (eg. Austin), depending on finances.

Obviously there is some wriggle room there and some flexibility will be required but generally speaking, this works year in, year out. I have never seen a successful team with 5 (or even 4) bigs at the back. The template is the template for a reason.
Anyway, that's my thoughts on it but of course it's only my opinion. I'm not dissing your efforts, merely explaining how most good players approach the game.

After a few good weeks of disciplined squad management and getting myself back into contention, I took a huge punt to really try and differentiate. Sadly my RVP captain didnt work out. I expected better against Stoke at home. Imagine if he had scored a hat trick with 2% ownership!! Weird even having Aguero but actually hoping he bombed as i didnt captain him. Massive mistake.

On a side note, i have enjoyed taking 4 point hits and even 8 point hits this season. I have made 26 transfers in total and still havent played my wildcard.  #tinkerman

Yip that was a mad week, I can't remember one like it before. The Aguero injury alone would have shaken things up a bit but with the numerous suspensions on top of that I suspect there will be points hits taken all over the place this week.

Totally agree there mate......, I can't believe how difficult it's been this season!
I've been struggling with injuries and bad picks lol...... I should go with my gut feeling like poker as I always pick in my mind the right player or poker reads but don't act on them. The amount of points I've lost by not doing this has hit me hard. Tbh the players in this fantasy league are of high standard and the only way to complete is to get better, I'm in all of the leagues and though I've got no chance on any of them it's worth spending the money for the fun and the experience.

My highlight so far was letting my 8yr old lad play on my phone in the dentist waiting room the other week - had auto log on and he thought it would be funny to stealth transfer Costa out and replace him with the prolific Ulloa! My jaw dropped when I saw it that night. Luckily he only did one change so not too much damage but still cost me 8pts, 0.3 mil and a draw in the head to head league that week!

He's now banned from my phone! :)

I've changed my name. The team that is, not my own name. I was inspired by a film I watched over the Xmas period. I had a choice of 2 but Bebe does Gallas may have given too much insight into my viewing habits.

i havent spent too much time and effort trying to work out a way to win in this game
last night/this morning i got to my bed at 8.30 am up to my eyeballs in energy drinks
i woke a cpl of times at 13.15 i put on 5 live and had it in back ground as i tried to nod off
sometime around 3.15 i fell into a deeper sleep and dreamt of todays football

problem was it wasnt the real games i was getting angrier and angrier when the radio witht e real scores kept getting in the way of the dream scores


1'0 saints didnt compute as we were getting beat 6-2 by a different london team with our old manager and also west ham qpr game had gotten abandoned after
5 qpr players got sent off then 3 more as they came off the pitch and 4 west ham players joined in

i kept hearing the real scores in the back ground but the scores in my dream seemed more real i actually used my ipad while in the dream to sub out austin
as he was looking like having a massive ban for his actions in the brawl at qpr when i finally woke up and got out the shower i went to check the scores
my safari was open on the transfer page already for me to confirm austin out stephen fletcher in guess i am going to have to start putting my ipad out

Using it for 7 changes doesn't sound like a waste! Expires end of Jan anyway as I'm sure you're aware so you're not missing out on much. Personally I'm, waiting till next week to use mine as there's a 2 week gap after this weekends fixtures so wc is active for longer however I don't need to make changes for this week. Main reason it's "advised" to save your Jan wc till the last minute is to catch new signings however not that many big signings happen in Jan generally the only "value" incoming players for fpl in this window will be strikers/midfielders for lower table sides who you wouldn't wanna buy without seeing them play a couple games first, especially with the wealth of cheap forward/midfielder players currently already available! No clue what your team is like but if you feel you need 7 changes and will either be hampered by price changes or you need/want changes for this weekend coming then the upside has to outweigh the down!

I'm a Baines fan too! Tho tbf he;s been awful lately (last week aside I spose) but I'm keeping too he'll come good again at some point:D Tho Mirallas playing hurts him;/ Don't agree with the Hutton hate either he's a bargain at his price and Villa have been keeping a fair amount of clean sheets (well they're not gonna score..) Not that van aanholt's a bad shout just don't think hutton needs to go:)

Iron, a question. I was very impressed with James Ward Prowse the other day, a lovely footballer. If everyone is back and fit, is he still a regular?

I had him in my fantasy team. He would be in or around a starting berch imho

I am currently 14th in the fifty league and miles off. Is it too early to start gambling with differentials and punts or should i maintain a serious focus on this and grind out of the hole? I am thinking i might just go death or glory.

The general consensus for someone with your current rank is to go without one of the holy trinity of Aguero, hazard & Sanchez & hope they falter & use the extra cash throughout your team. The most obvious of these to go without is Sergio as he's injury prone & the most expensive of the trio, the downside being of course there are precious few other City attackers/mids to choose from whilst both Hazard & Sanchez can be somewhat covered elsewhere.

The other option is to go for the obv big players and potentially explosive differentials e.g tadic.

In short take a gamble but be it with your heavy hitters or differentials. Well the choice is yours.

Yes, he is a first teamer now.

Slight annoyance as proved yesterday, when Tadic plays - he has to share set pieces. Also whenever we have to tweak the formation he ends up dropping deeper as we inevitably sacrifice a defensive midfielder to go more attacking - case in point - Reed being replaced by Mane so JWP has to go deeper.

From a first team point of view though, he would appear to be a regular at the tip of the diamond now. His goal scoring record should improve, he had two good chances yesterday.

At £4.8 a risk free 5th midfielder option. He may be my transfer this week.

Forced into a Saturday morning wildcard this week with Costa news which wasn't ideal. Managed to leave 27 points on the bench as well.

Used my wildcard too this week but it sort of worked well with me putting Jonathan Walters in just in time for him to score a hattrick.  Where I did miss out was not putting him as VC!  Still had a good week I think (75pts) and moved up a few spaces.

Can you explain how the play off piece works please? Are there semi finals in wkl 37 and then a final in wk 38 for the top four or is it 5th to 8th that enter those? If the former does this mean the overall prizes finish in week 36 or play out alongside the play offs?

After GW35, the top 8 all go into a cup quarter finals format and they will be drawn against each other for GW 36. The 4 winners then are drawn against each other in the semi finals in GW 37 and then the 2 winners play each other in GW38.

So basically the league finishes after GW35. Then we have 8 player cup for the last 3 weeks.
The league payouts are finalised after GW35, the cup payouts are finalised after GW38.

There is a quarter of the season to go, plenty of time left. You've been going the right way, it's a mistake imo to 'gamble' now. Gambling with risks and differentials is simply playing sub optimally and is likely to result in a lower score and ranking.
You are an FPL degen though so go ahead if you must. I would advise you to gamble responsibly though.
Take calculated, controlled gambles like picking the 3rd most popular captaincy choice from the polls rather than the leader, that sort of thing.

Sighhh, gfg. Gambled after being top 3/4 all season and with no1 having Costa around me I captained him to try have realistic chance of winning the thing. How else would I beat the dazzler anyway!?!

rules question

if i took a 4 points hit on a transfer then inbetween the transfer and the game the player is injured so i want to transfer the player out again will i get hit with another 4 point penalty?

It is open to angles but it's a hell of a lot of extra work to do if you are working out 16 cup results for 32 teams on a weekly basis.
If you want to be in charge of working out the cup scores every week next year, I'm fully in favour of your rule change Greg :)

How can you tell that they've used their WCs? Or do you mean they're just available to use still? We've nearly an identical team. It comes down to Bellerin vs Koscielny. Fair chance we're going to a replay, mate :)

No bonus points for any Arsenal players after the 1-1 draw at OT.

How come?

A couple of years ago, they changed it from analysts awarding man of the match awards to a pure stats based approach.
In a 1-1 draw, the goalscorers are going to get the points, therefore Herrara gets the 3. The Arsenal goal was an own goal so no big bonuses there. The assisters get secondary bonuses so Young gets 1 point. Walcott wasn't on the pitch long enough to get the other passing stats up so his assist isn't enough. The reason De Gea + Rojo got 1 and 2 points respectively is that they were the only players that kept 'clean sheets'. They were substituted before the Arsenal equaliser.
I've no problem with them using a stats based approach but it needs significant tweaking.
For instance, you would lose BPS for having a terrific shot that goes just wide as its a 'shot off target'. And you would get plus BPS for wasting a really easy chance so long as it was a 'shot on target'.
If you get a yellow card, you lose a lot of BPS. Sometimes, 'taking a yellow' is a terrific thing for your team, it's actually good play as it stops a major chance for your opponents. You already lose 1 point for it, why should you be further punished?
There are plenty of other examples too.

I am guessing the stats based approach is to speed up and automate the system?

It seems with a product this big they could have a panel of say 5 judges to look at the game and award bonus points.

It's because they had so many complaints about, "how does Player X get man of the match there?". They did have a panel of ex players at every game that awarded the bonus's. Obviously there were some anomolies but in general, the players that played the best got the points.
They went with an unbiased stats based system to avoid alll the complaints. Of course, it now doesn't pick the best players in a match, it picks the best players under the stats based system. That could be fine, if it wasn't so clunky. "shots off target = bad" and "shots on target = good".
At least it's fair, in that you can measure everything but it doesn't measure what it should be measuring.
Oh don't mind me, it's one of my pet bugbears!

Tom, have you (or anyone else) played Ultimate FPL this season? It does away with bonus points altogether and instead rewards the usual stuff plus the  key indicators that go towards bonus points - interceptions, blocks, big chances created etc which are simply worth points rather than bonus points. . This has the knock on effect of making players who in FPL are deadwood viable picks. To use one example Matic has 86 points in FPL but 116 points in UFPL whilst Hazard has 226 in FPL & 235 in UFPL.

I haven't played UFPL Nicholas. I never really considered it tbh. I have been thinking I should get into the daily fantasy football but I was just concentrating on doing as well as I as could in this FPL season. I might look into both next season.

Really unlucky Marc in the Champs League final where I pipped you by a point. Bellerin and Koscielny both had 36 BPS at fulltime. There is always a recount after the final whistle and Koscielny won that 35-34. Very, very unlucky mate.

Congrats on the win tom i don't think you can get much closer than that mate wp. It looked like it would come down to a yellow card or bonus points.

Some good performances really pushed me hard. I won't put in as much effort next year, so I'm sure it'll be someone elses turn next year! :)
Hopefully a lot of people got a pay out of some sort and the interest was kept up by most for as long as possible.

Just to give you a quote from a guy on a Fantasy Forum I frequent. If you weren't as committed as this guy, you weren't committed enough.
It's the last 2 lines that killed me!

"It's difficult to put into words how crushed I am. My plan with my final transfer was to bring in somebody with potential to be explosive who is lowly owned and to also captain them. I initially planned on Costa but with doubts over Hazard and no Fabregas I didn't feel that he would have good enough supply and I also had a suspicion that Drogba may play being his last game.

I had at this point dismissed Benteke as an option purely because I assumed the chances of him being rested would be high.

So my attention then switched to Walcott and I was all set on doing the transfer but after much deliberation I just didn't feel that he was guaranteed enough to start to risk it. In addition, I saw some quotes from Sherwood saying he would not be resting anyone.

Well you can guess who I went for. I know how close I was to doing the Walcott (c) move which would have meant 71pts instead of 34 which would have got me 2nd in my money league and could also have bumped me up into the top 1k. To add to the tale of woe, I don't have Hazard, benched Kane and had Skrtel getting me -2.

I always find it a rather horrible moment when the curtains draw on another season. Rather similar to that anti-climax type feeling when you come back from a holiday. My dwelling on what could have been if only I had just gone with Walcott is adding to this.

If that wasn't enough today, I have been ill all today with a migraine and my wife has told me she is not happy with our relationship!

Was right up there all season, but dropped away final 8-10 games and ended 6th in this. One HUGE mistake was about 2-3 weeks ago when I must have scrolled down after putting Aguero captain and it scrolled to Hazard and must have clicked confirm. Cost me like 34 points!
Wouldn't have made too much difference but was still fuming!

Still, a decent year and came first and second in private leagues for a bit of profit.  ;D

Onto next year...can't wait.

The Post-Season Review.

Thanks to one and all for making this season’s Blonde FPL competition a success.  I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it despite winning absolutely nothing and running terribly in the cups and H2H.  I did manage a victory in a very small side bet with a FPL reg (cheers Ralph :-)). Might actually be the 1st time I have beaten him.

It’s been a very tough field this year with a few of our cohort managing to get themselves into the coveted heady heights of the top 1000 overall (from a field of over 3.5 million teams). At one stage, we even had 1 player in the top 100.

Well done to Tom (The Dazzler) for winning overall and showing us the way all season.  He was closely ran by Mark Porter in the £10 league and Nick Wright in the £50 league.  

Rob Moss took the H2H league, stopping The Dazzler taking the grand slam. Congrats Rob!

Tom actually added £130 of his own cash this season to allow for additional cup and play-off prizes, which is very good of him in deed. He must have known he was getting it back! .

Well played Jack in the Europa League Cup final, no cup double for Bobbins FC and well played again Tom (and Mark) in the league and Marc who had me sweating big time at half time yesterday as the gap was down to about 4 points!

In the spirit of the added money Dazzler has put into the league I'd like to offer my League Cup runners-up prize of £10 to the manager who has achieved the best individual gameweek rank of the season. This is only open to players who haven't cashed in any of the leagues/cups. Very generous, i will hold onto the £10 and look that up.

Just realised looking up who scored the highest GW rank during the season is very click heavy and manual.  I have had a look at around 40% of teams and the best i could see was:

degston77 ranked 702 in GW10

Unless anyone can make a claim of better that hasnt already won a prize, then he gets the £10.

Simon Sharples, send me your bank deets for now, you will probably be the winner.

P.s. Sigh, couldnt even win this despite a 103 point haul in GW23 for a ranking of 1,105.

Impressive stuff, well played those guys.

Everyone should be weighed in and paid now with the exception of Dazzler as i need to sort that through Stars.

FTR, I have £10 on account for each of ChipRich and Degston77, which will go against their entries for next season.

A seperate interest list thread will go up in July for the 2015/16 season.

New game is now live.

Introduction of 3 'chips', playable exclusively once per season :-

- 'All Out Attack' able to play a 2-5-3 formation
- Triple captain points
- Bench Boost - all players points count

Also changes to the Bonus Points system look better.
