Just a reminder that tonight at 8pm it's the tikay Tourney on Sporting Odds.com.

$10 to enter, $1,000 added by Sporting Odds, & $100 Bounty on me.

So at $10 to enter, it's designed so that we all have a bit of fun.

The clock will be the special "gets slower" jobbie - it begins with 5 levels at 12 minutes, then 4 levels at 15 minutes, then 20 minutes, 25 minutes & finally 30 minutes. Blinds begin at 10/20, then 15/30, 25/50, 50/100, 75-150 - any slower, & it will come to a full stop. I think the idea is to help me last a little longer.

I remind you, as always, that neither blonde nor myself have any affliate or rakeback deal with SO.com, there is no "hidden agenda" here, I'd love you all to play, but whether you do or not does not have any financial effect on me whatsoever, but it would make for a grand bit of fun.

And later this evening, at 10.30pm, I shall be playing the $300 Freezeout on SO.com. I won this one on Friday from a huge field - more than the fingers on one hand  - so why not see if you can knock me off my perch in this one too.

Big Micky Jones!

I sat alongside Micky on Saturday at Walsall in the biggie, & he is something else, the Big Man has a Big Game.

He had KK 4 times, & won with them once. There was some criticism of the fact that he playd them slow on some occasions, but that's Mick's style, he likes to get paid big, & is always pepared to up the risk ratio in order to do so. He knows the score with slow-playing.

I took his first stack (it was a double chance) on a 3-3-5 flop, I R'd with my TT, he RR'd, I moved in, he called. I had TT, he had 99, but it woulda played the same either way, whoever had the extra pip.

He actully won a big pot against TWO full-houses with A high! On a board that came 3-9-9-9-9 he somehow found himself all in on the turn against 9's over Queens and 9's over Tens, & ended up winning it!

His exit was equally spectacular. Playing KK cutely, the flop came 3 clubs - he had the K of clubs - & the TURN came a club too - but he was up against A-2 clubs. No way off that one.

Never a quiet moment with Big Micky. And his Nicola is just achingly lovely, but we fell out on Saturday. She's just started watching Poker 425, & heard a reference to me being 73 years old, & not being "in" on the running joke, she actually told me, in all seriousness, "I must say Tony, I'd never have thought you were that old, you look very well for a man of that age"...... WHAT?

Was you the very attractive young Lady in the dark top that sat briefly at my table to talk to someone? I do wish you'd introduced yoirself - please do next time.

i registered about 20 min ago and it went through ok.although i kept having to log on and off alot untill the money went into my account.

I havent gotten to the deposit stage yet - I'm still just trying to register the card.

I had to sack it too due to card problems.. tried ringing them to rectify but got left on hold...my fault ..I put the wrong exp date in.

Airport to Concord is abouit 15 to 20 minutes. And as long as someone has entered you, you can take your seat later in Concord Vienna - they don't have the Gaming Commission to worry about, so if someone registers you, even if you are late, you can still take your seat.

There are heaps of blondes going, but I don't know if I will be there in time for the satellite myself - Thewy & I are on the 2.30 from Heathrow on Wednesday, but if we arrive in time, I will play the Super-Sat. I think there is a "Who's going to Vienna" thread somewhere, but I know there will be Thewy, The Rookie, Foxy, Red-Dog, b4Matt, Monty Burns, with sloppy & Jen coming along to Update too.

So either ring one of us, or PM, & I am sure someone will sort you. If someone CAN book Micky in - assuming he decides to come - I will guarantee the entry Fee.

The part of my game I want to improve the most is my recall of hands and the detail to go with it, it can really let me down at times.... however this is not the case with the hand that earnt the quickest $100 in my poker life... less than a minute from the start of a 100+ tourn! I believe I got you to commit all your chips after a bit raisey McRaisiness holding a massive KQ to your 99!! I'd be suprised if thats the first time anyones heard that!

On a similar note Tikay and I flew to Vegas on the same flight this year amd given Tony's schedule he instantly went to sleep. After about 3 hours we were playing cards and chatting amongst ourselves when a guy came down the aisle with his son to take him to the toilet, the little lad had clearly just woken up and was all crabby.

As the dad brought him past us he said to him' Be quiet, you will wake up that man from the tele' and pointed to Tikay. Tony had just dyed his hair blonde,was lying under a blanket,head to one side with a basebal cap covering half his head and he was STILL recognised.

Hi Trace, which other sites use the BOSS software? maybe that was the issue. I did ask "teresa" in support but she didnt know if it was skin and if so, part of which one. Maybe they were just pretty busy if they are experiencing a few problems at the minute. Chip counts anyone pls?

Yes, big server probs, though it's working now.

3 of us remained connected on our table, so we mutually agreed to Sit Out until the others returned, which they now have.

I personally guarantee that anyone who feel they have been "done" will get their $10 back, or, as an alternative, Sporting Odds  will run the comp again as a freebie, with the same Prize Fund. Nobody is gonna be short-changed.

It's working fine now, but it's giving me terrible cards. I ought to get better cards for sure.

i'm out 71st after my AQ got stiffed by AK not impressed by sofware at all seeing as it was impossible to build any chips unless you stayed on and nicked blinds, when there 6 sat out i suggested everyone else sit out and was told no.

Down to 389 now, & the "ever-slower clock" is kicking in, we go to 20 minute levels next level. Could be a long night. I got 6k, average is about 8k, but with this clock, I'm comfy enough for now.

Dont get me wrong Tony i dont feel hard done by (much lol) i wasnt the only person affected adn it seems the vast majority were so therefore i cannot go off screaming about it. Just weird how some stayed and cold see there was a problem. I for one can appreciate how things can go wrong in running comps.

Unfortunately due to the system failures tonight, i never got a chance to play against you, or get to final table

I was sitting 2nd with 6.5k and when i got back 35 mins later i was down to 3k

with 3 chip stealers on my table it was impossible to get back, and my 2pair were beaten by a flush

I hope some sort of refund/compensation will be paid, as im a regular player on SO and i cant take rubbish servers anymore!

Boss seems to be a problem - I remember problems on The Blond Virgin freeroll and obviously there was the fiasco last week on SO when Rob Yong couldnt get back in.

Gotta say in a saturated market - reliability is everything.  I play 90% + of my poker at Pokerstars and to date it has been touch wood perfectly reliable (although not necessarily in the beats!!)

Yes, with the Rob Yong problem last Monday, & the problem  last night, the IT Gods have been a bit cruel in the last week.

As to last night, the official position is that if anyone feels they are entitled to a refund, a refund will be arranged. Just PM me your Alias, & I will pass it to SO.com, & they will credit you your entry fee.

The software eventually settled down, & the comp ran for four & a half hours, so it's hard to justify running the whole thing again as a freebie.

There will be another tikay Tourney, too - March 27th, and the more tolerant amongst you may wish to join me that night, though I'm sure many of you will vote with your feet. That's the beauty of freedom of choice!

I couldn't take part, but would gladly welcome a refund if my name can be put on the list?
