Paypal stopped payments to poker/casino sites a while back so they wouldn't incur the wrath of the US Govt. Since being taken over by ebay, they have made great strides in customer service. Paypal aren't exactly struggling though, as they still have an almost complete monopoly over ebay payments (not surprisingly). Housewives payment choice - Betfair are VERY keen to get the wimmin playing. A positive step in my eyes. Nutella, or whatever it is, gets on my tits. Title: Re: paypal Post by: Gilbern74 on February 28, 2006, 10:42:49 PM That's good news. I have total faith in PayPal and use them a lot. Title: Re: paypal Post by: Heid on February 28, 2006, 10:43:56 PM Nah I have never had any problems with them - but their customer service before a couple of years ago was sketchy to say the least.
Title: Re: paypal Post by: Graham C on February 28, 2006, 10:52:36 PM Great news, I use paypal a bit too and am happy about this
could cost me a bit now its easier though :o Title: Re: paypal Post by: Heid on February 28, 2006, 10:54:08 PM Silo, just sell some stuff from your garage on ebay, then you'll be set :)
Betfair must be rubbing their hands in glee at this :) Title: Re: paypal Post by: Nem on February 28, 2006, 10:59:41 PM I despise PayPal. They are so incompetent. They said my PayPal account was link to another one, then they said all they can tell me about the link is that the other account uses the domain name @hotmail.com (oh, that narrows it down a bit). They've blocked my Paypal account from sending funds (which means that my buying ability on ebay is limited) and I've had to contact the FSA and Watch-Dog regarding this matter.
As for customer service, the support staff are the equivalent of trained monkies. If you don't have a problem with them or you don't have to phone them, they're great! When it came to getting funds out, they wantde all of my personal details and tax numbers etc to send to relevant companies as a precaution for money laundering. Beware of tax implications of cashing out wins!
