Betfair is pleased to announce that it has entered into an agreement with PayPal to allow customers to use PayPal to fund their Betfair account.
PayPal (Europe) Ltd has updated its approach to gaming and Betfair is the first service to be approved under this new policy. As a result, Betfair customers in the EU will be able to make deposits and withdrawals via PayPal. Sending funds via PayPal is quick, simple and secure.
To use PayPal or to open a PayPal account, please select the PayPal logo from within the main deposit page when logged into your Betfair account and follow the instructions provided. Should you have any questions on how to fund your Betfair account via PayPal, please do not hesitate to contact the Helpdesk.

That is good news..
Paypal stopped payments to poker/casino sites a while back so they wouldn't incur the wrath of the US Govt. Since being taken over by ebay, they have made great strides in customer service.
Paypal aren't exactly struggling though, as they still have an almost complete monopoly over ebay payments (not surprisingly).
Housewives payment choice - Betfair are VERY keen to get the wimmin playing.

Nah I have never had any problems with them - but their customer service before a couple of years ago was sketchy to say the least.

Silo, just sell some stuff from your garage on ebay, then you'll be set
Betfair must be rubbing their hands in glee at this

I despise PayPal. They are so incompetent. They said my PayPal account was link to another one, then they said all they can tell me about the link is that the other account uses the domain name @hotmail.com (oh, that narrows it down a bit). They've blocked my Paypal account from sending funds (which means that my buying ability on ebay is limited) and I've had to contact the FSA and Watch-Dog regarding this matter.
As for customer service, the support staff are the equivalent of trained monkies. If you don't have a problem with them or you don't have to phone them, they're great!

Before I moved to Greece, I sold a load of stuff on ebay. When it came to getting funds out, they wantde all of my personal details and tax numbers etc to send to relevant companies as a precaution for money laundering. Beware of tax implications of cashing out wins!
