Hi folks.  :hello:

After a back and forth struggle with my wifi card, I'm finally connected and raring to go.

Yesterday was a mixed bag. Whilst I was waiting in Zurich for the technical faults on my plane to Nice to be fixed, Flushy was making his way over from Gatwick. Pretty tedious stuff, but the frustration I endured by the long delays at the airport were soon relieved by Flushy's tales of woe.

When you hit the land of snails and frogs, there is a short(ish) bus journey to Monte Carlo, one in which Flushy severely struggled with. In fact, he has to be the only traveller who failed to get off in Monte Carlo, instead allowing the bus to travel passed this pictresque location and head into the next town. From my experience, signs and the fact that the bus was empty are always a giveaway, but Flushy's ineptitute lack of awareness knew no limits. hehe. Eventually, he finally realised that he'd missed his stop and hopped on another bus which headed back into Monte Carlo.  :-*

In Flushy's own words, 'I wanted to soak in the atmosphere by visiting the surburbs. Life's about the journey'.  ::)

Although Flushy's tale was a humerous one, it may be surpassed by Micky Wernick's adventures.

Whilst in the bar next to the cardroom, Lord Wernick approached with his socks squwelching against his shoes. Why? The poor fellow had somehow become lost on his way to the cardroom from the hotel, and managed to walk straight into the kiddie's swimming pool. Ankles, shoes, and socks, were all drenched, and we found it immensly difficult not to release a slight giggle. I'm just relieved that he didn't trundle into the adult swimming pool, as he could have arrived wringing wet up to his beard.  ;tk;

Anyhow, I'll bring these tales of amusing Frank Spencer-esque anecdotes to an end before I clog up the thread too much. Us Brits tend to struggle abroad, we're just not used to some of the changes over here. I still haven't found the local kebab shop.

You can see in the back an elevated level (bit hard to see i know with the sunlight!), this is the SNG area. All very well thought out, should keep people from getting bored, i mean there is nothing to do in Monte Carlo....

Don't be lured into thinking that Flushy has a charm with the laides which means he can get them to pose for his piccies. A wider snap being manipulated in photshop is his methods of capturing the totty.

Dpommo looks like he is ready to resume EPT action, i think he has gotten over his exit in Deauville, he was clearly awe struck to have been eliminated by one of the games greats.

And of course foxy, when the hell is he going to win one of these?

He had a table muppet apparently, the guys standard bet was 3-4x the pot.

Julian picked up KK and raised, the muppet re-raised and Julian decided to 'lay the trap' expecting the guy to make his big flop bet.

It came Txx Julian checked, sure enough the guy bet 4k into the 1500 pot, Julian went over the top and we had an instant call.

Sadly Julian had run into AA!!

Paul Zimbler just played a pot with Bullit Pete. He made it 300 to play on a 7h Qh 2c flop. Pete raised another 600. Paul thought for a moment then called.  The turn was the 7d. Pete bet 1200 and Paul mucked, with obvious pain on his face.

You might have to change that from "Any sighting of the Rookie?" to "when can you NOT see the Rookie?" :D

The bar service is absolutely awful. Brian Wilson had to wait 20 minutes to get a beer, he will back me up.

Ordered lunch - a beef burger for €20 and asked whether it came with chips. Was assured that there would be 'French Fries' with it.

When it arrived, no chips. So, I reminded them about the chips. They said OK, coming soon. Ten minutes later, no chips, so I asked again. On its way I was told. Uh uh, another 10 minutes and no chips, so I asked again, same story, "Ok, we bring them" Did they **** bring them. Waited over half an hour to get no chips.

Can you tell that this has really pissed me off? I've now given up on them ever arriving.

For a start €20 is a complete rip off for a burger, even with chips, but when you don't even get the chips you feel like you've been done over twice.

So, the food is overpriced and the service is less than awful. There are only 3 barmen to serve both food and drink. You'd have thought they could afford a few more, given the prices they are charging.
