Title: GUKPT Luton Day1a Live Update Post by: TightEnd on August 12, 2010, 10:38:25 AM blonde Poker is back at the GUKPT. Possibly on a one off basis, but we'll see
Please join Adrian "Rockstar" Gotch and myself from 2pm this afternoon for a live update of Day1a of the GUKPT Luton. Luton is always one of the busiest stops in the GUKPT Series. Always in August, it occurs when everyone is back from their annual pilgrimages to the WSOP. Furthermore the location means it attracts the London and the national players. Satellite seat winners are plentiful and the locals come out in force. I'm expecting 300+ runners over the two days. Last year this was one by Richard Gryko and in prior years by Sam Trickett and Dave Clark Title: Re: GUKPT Luton Day1a Live Update Post by: TightEnd on August 12, 2010, 10:42:58 AM Some thank yous
A number of people have come together to ensure this update can take place In no particular order DTD for paying my costs James Keys GreekStein Chip Prince Stu Rutter MPower. Turny Chompy tikay for all contributing to the costs. Thank you to Carmel and team at Luton for letting us update. Most of all, thanks to Rockstar. An update virgin, this will be quite a baptism. Furthermore I'll be leaving him to it at the weekend. Good luck sir! Title: Re: GUKPT Luton Day1a Live Update Post by: TightEnd on August 12, 2010, 10:46:37 AM GUKPT Luton also forms part of the DTD Road Trip
DTD held an Online and Live qualifier to send players to Luton, and we'll be following them over, hopefully, four days Qualifiers from the Live Satellites were Waheed Ashraf Malcolm Muskett (Malc M) Gurpreet Nagi (FreeRollin) Jonathan Grice (MPower) Tasos Grigoriou and from the Online Satellite Matt Russell (EvilPie) Graham Giles Richard Turner Harvey Butters Paul Noonan (Luther101) Good luck to them all, and to Alex from DTD who has to chaperone that lot! Title: Re: GUKPT Luton Day1a Live Update Post by: TightEnd on August 12, 2010, 10:47:41 AM In the meantime, I'm off to clear the Inbox, and I'll be back from the venue before 2pm

I came across Sofia when she played the Irish Open in April and went deep. I think she played a lot of time with The Camel on his deep run in that. There was much comment afterwards on forums as she is a former model who has been taken on by PKR (much like say a Becker or a Warne or a Caprice would be taken on by the bigger sites for marketing purposes first, poker ability second). 1. Economics/recession/bankrolls 2 Competition from major online series 3. Advent of UKIPT /crowded festival and series schedules I am expecting 150 tomorrow, on the basis that Friday's fields are always bigger than Thursdays. That would make the field 230-240. Economics/recession/bankrolls 2 Competition from major online series 3. Advent of UKIPT /crowded festival and series schedules I am expecting 150 tomorrow, on the basis that Friday's fields are always bigger than Thursdays. That would make the field 230-240. A struggle compared to the first three years, but times are tougher and the competitive environment was different then + the entire Poker economy is in a recession, with Online numbers on most sites down between 10% & 50% year-on-year. Paul is the owner of an advertising business, brand marketing that sort of thing. Very new economy, looked at the website once and it was full of buzz-words such as vertical integration, brand leverage and the like. Never catch me using these Also big into the greyhound scene is Paul. I believe he is heading a consortium trying to get greyhound racing on our satellite screens nightly ("At the dogs" perhaps) I met Paul once on top of the North Downs. We were both flying kites with our Kids. No use to anyone that, but hey, I'm updating not you (http://lh5.ggpht.com/_M7mySuUsa6c/TGQG8fzzJ_I/AAAAAAAAMkA/NTkYvTHyPjY/s512/IMG_3089.JPG) Title: Re: GUKPT Luton Day1a Live Update Post by: geordieneil on August 12, 2010, 03:52:39 PM Gryko not a geezer?
