84 currently registered

15,000 starting chips and a one hour clock. No exits yet

52 already registered for tomorrow

Overall field size guesses anyone? 230-240?

only 84?   is this the rabb effect???

Please! It's "Raab" not "Rabb".

Nothing is as good without him, but he built solid foundations, & it'll be just fine.

Jon would know more than me but I think there are several effects at play

1. Economics/recession/bankrolls

2 Competition from major online series

3. Advent of UKIPT /crowded festival and series schedules

I am expecting 150 tomorrow, on the basis that Friday's fields are always bigger than Thursdays.

That would make the field 230-240.

A struggle compared to the first three years, but times are tougher and the competitive environment was different then

+ the entire Poker economy is in a recession, with Online numbers on most sites down between 10% & 50% year-on-year.

Now here is a study in contrasts

On the left Luton player Alan "Basher" Gray. A geezer, connected to the boxing scene. Runs a market stall selling plants

On the right Richard Gryko. Not a Geezer. Not connected to the boxing scene. Doesn't run a market stall selling plants.

Richard Gryko text- word for word

"If the Catholic Church wanted to instantly double the number of followers, they should stop telling sinners they'll go to hell and start telling them they'll go to the Luton GUKPT"

Gryko not a geezer? Does that make him the first female winner of a GUKPT?

"Handsome" Paul Ephremsen

Paul is the owner of an advertising business, brand marketing that sort of thing. Very new economy, looked at the website once and it was full of buzz-words such as vertical integration, brand leverage and the like. Never catch me using these

Also big into the greyhound scene is Paul. I believe he is heading a consortium trying to get greyhound racing on our satellite screens nightly ("At the dogs" perhaps)

I met Paul once on top of the North Downs. We were both flying kites with our Kids. No use to anyone that, but hey, I'm updating not you
