Splendid, as long as you make sure you have at least one post on every page on every thread then Kin.

Oh, hang on.... Smiley

Sorry to go off topic, but does that affiliate link get Blonde money for any Amazon purchases? Coming up to xmas with most pressies bought off Amazon I might as well "give something back" given I'm fecking useless at actually playing on the cardroom Smiley.

And if it does, I would be tempted at this time of year to publicise it more prominently Smiley.

And to go back to topic, the best author I've read has to be John Vorhaus (IMHO). Not sure whether any of his are aimed at beginners though.

I'm surprised nobody has yet pointed you at the first new steam locomotive to have been built for close on 50 years.

So, TK, what's the A1 class like?

There are some amazing "other people's designs"

One of my faves:

Similar idea, but self-powered:

There's some really cool stuff here.

It's reset now.

So you can play that funky music (round).

A little knowledge, and some common sense guesswork got me to 8/10. Eminently beatable by someone who knows some music. Although there were at least 3 country music questions in there for me, which didn't help.

Is it just me or is it broken today? Showing yesterday's scores for me. Blatant brag that I'm top obv Smiley, but only 7 played yesterday I think.

They do their maintenance at 10am so maybe fixed after that.

I get back from hols to find myself doing a "Horror or Poker" round that is 10 questions on mostly obscure horror films. Different, I must say Smiley. 6/10 is winning at the mo tho Smiley.

and rex I'm not sure about, he probs went to prep school or something

I lol'd Smiley.

But if by prep school you mean a fee paying school, then yes, funnily enough. Where alongside Latin, Greek, Fagging and Philosophy, I also had 2 lessons per week on 1980s horror films.

Yes, it appears that after the top 10 points drop off dramatically.

Oh, and based on current rules,

Smiley. Although 35s very beatable, and I know who by Sad.

I'm off on hols tonight, returning next weekend. So Rod, you've got 80 points to catch in 5 days. Andrew, I think you left it too late. Good luck Smiley.

Do you really mean trickle charge? If so, that's your problem. You need to whack some current into it. Trickle charge is when it's full and you want to keep it "topped up".

Is it sealed? Are there what looks like big screwdriver crosses in the top? If so, is there a little sight glass to check the acid level? There are usually instructions on the battery to check whether it has got enough. If not, you can top up with distilled water usually. It won't charge if the level is low, which can happen if it's been fully discharged.

Plus, depending on how old it is, you've just released more ozone destroying CFCs than twenty cans of 80s hairspray.

But I like a nice suntan, me Smiley.

This is the bloke they were supposed to be interviewing:

Completely understandable mistake - could be twins Smiley.

Wow. That sounds incredibly unlikely. Unless it's a cunning "stock of one" ploy to get a stampede of people in the shop. Where did you hear that?
1423  Community Forums / The Lounge / Re: Buying toys for Christmas? on: October 21, 2008, 01:51:58 PM
Thomas has been doing his list since august

but still Wii fit is top ofd the list,,,still havent secured 1

If you're looking for Wii or Wii Fit, a good site is here. Real time stock checker. Most places only have it in stock as part of a package, but I got two (one for a friend) from Amazon a while ago at RRP by keeping this page open for a few days.

Unless it's vitally important you pay the same amount every month, cancel the budget plan and go to quarterly DD on the actual bill amount. Those "budget" plans are designed simply so that the company has extra cash to earn some interest on. If that isn't the case, they start to panic. Blatant rip off, frankly.

Nah. As has been pointed out previously, I just have no life.
