Anthony Hopkins isn't "a butler in TV, film or book fiction". What's going on there?
A fail surely?
as an actor, he played one clever answer, and an ambiguous question by me I don't get it. The question isn't ambiguous. It's a wrong answer. Its a correct answer from a lateral angle, in my opinion

Hmmmm.............a few of those are abbreviations of different names.
Abbreviations were not excluded under the terms of my question Yes, but Samuel is not the same name as Samantha. Ditto Alexander/Alexandra, Andrew/Andrea and God knows what girls' names Johnnie and Jamie are supposed to be abbreviations of, but they're not the same names as the male name. It doesn't matter Sam for a boy or girl alex for a boy or girl both perfectly fine
