Bizarrely, Ive had similar at Salford.

Definate split pot and the chips went to the other player....by the time I screamed the cards were all back together to be shuffled for the next hand. Prob my fault for not shouting quickly enough but I hated the game for a good few days after that. Despite thinking it was my fault the person in question was well aware of what the problem was and refused to speak to me or anyone else on the table.

In your case, the guy refusing to let you know what chips he had left beggars belief......am I wrong....dont you have to have your chips clearly on display at all times?

Ive played a couple of times at Walsall, where the payout has been adjusted, with players agreement, so that in two day events, everyone who has to come back gets something.

Even if it only covers the hotel bill, I have to say I like this idea.

I was there too.............horrible tourney.....suppose i'd have said different though if I had walked away with some cash!!!!!

Ive played similar structures elsewhere in small stakes poker.....maybe its a case of getting what you pay for.

What made matters worse is the terrible dealer we had towards the end of the rebuys.......he made silly comments all the time.....shouted 'fish' at people when he gave them their cards and couldn't even be bothered to iron his shirt.
