Right you are, and a very large fee it is too at $20 a night with both!

The rooms are very cheap though, and it means a week at the Golden Gate is $220 before adding $160 for the resort fee.

The same week at the D is $300  before adding the $160, so still pretty decent for a week.

It seems a very backwards way of doing things if I'm honest, especially given the way people feel about 'added fee's.

I would think it would be easier to charge $40 a night and then give everything free. People would lap it up if they were told they had free internet, bottled water, access to gym etc.

On the VMB I've read soem people saying that they'll stop going to Vegas altogether once their hotel starts charging one... If being overcharged for stuff isn't your bag, then you're definitely in the wrong city Cheesy

Yep I agree mate, if you knew the full price beforehand then simple matter of booking the one that suits your needs/budget.

I'm looking at booking soon for next June but can't see anything that takes my fancy yet, cheapest i think is about £1100 which is a couple of ton more than i paid in June.

@ Tal

The Golden Nugget now charges a $5  per day 'Fremont Street Experience' fee, but I don't think anywhere else downtown has caught on yet.

There are now a couple downtown who are charging a Resort Fee, Golden Gate and The D spring to mind.

Can anybody please help as i really want to play this and desist from tearing the rest of my hair out. Thanks!

Just a quick heads up guys. I'm sure some of you are already aware, but the Virgin Atlantic flight sale is on at the moment.

Managed to get flights for June 2013 (Manchester - Vegas) for £568.14 (direct/return); which is less than I paid when I first went over 6 years ago.

Sale ends mid September I believe.

What dates in June did you get these flights for mate?
6  Community Forums / The Lounge / Re: Government Bike 2 Work Scheme on: August 10, 2012, 01:04:59 PM
I did this twice with my last work and i got two bikes costing approx 250 but actually got vouchers for £400 and just spent the rest on accessories for the bikes.

The monthly amount they took from my salary went on as a credit so you paid less tax.

I do recall having to pay an extra £10 at the end of the year for the bike to then belong to me otherwise i had to package it up and send it back to head office(lol at that).

Would deffo recommend the scheme tho and also helps on the fitness element too.
7  Community Forums / Betting Tips and Sport Discussion / Re: Rangers into administration on: June 26, 2012, 12:58:45 PM
leaving aside the Rangers mess, what's the future for Scottish football now?

Celtic win the SPL virtually unchallenged for the next few years. No Old firm games. None of that drama and rivalry for celtic fans. More difficult to attract players up to celtic?

Weaker SPL teams get into Europe, eventually the UEFA Co-efficients for Scotland fall, meaning less European places?

The next TV deal without a really competitive league (minus Rangers potentially winning the league each year, even if funded irresponsibly) gives no negotiating position to the clubs

I know the clubs via the voting and the fans via their support for that are doing the right thing, morally....but the future doesn't look bright for Scottish football now does it? Or does it?

Aside from 4 old firm games, what would be different with Rangers in the SPL ? The administrators said they were running at a £10m loss per year. The players won't take reduced wages anymore. The standard of player will drop substantially as they can't afford anybody even of Hearts, Dundee Utd & Hibs price range. They can't cut costs of stadium. They cant play in Europe.

Rangers won 9 in a row and 7 times Celtic were not even 2nd (3 times not even 3rd). Didn't hurt the product in the way you describe.

Rangers were rank rotten before Murray but Scottish football survived.

The future, for sure, is uncertain. Celtic will turn attention to Europe. Other clubs have a great chance to strengthen as there is now 1 more european spot for grabs. Extra revenue although deep runs would be a tall order. Shamrock Rovers can inspire them hopefully.

There will be SPL on the TV. Fans have reacted well to the clubs who have said no. Season tickets are selling like hot cakes.

Don't fall for the Rangers spin. They tried to put the fear into the clubs but the real fear was when the fans didn't buy season tickets until they said ok we'll teach them a lesson. Fan power shows there is interest in the game in Scotland. Can there be much less interest in England anyway ?

Sandy

Good Post and your last paragraph sums it up very nicely imo. Rangers tried the bully boy tactics and it's blown up in their face.

You only have to read a couple of Rangers Forums to realise how deluded their fans are, they think that by trying to strongarm their way to not being punished or to just blame David Murray/Craig Whyte and start next season in the SPL that things will be hunky dory.

If my company cheated the way Rangers have it is not just the guys at the top(Directors) who get punished but the ordinary workers(ie lose our jobs), so for the Rangers fans to spout about ordinary fans being penalised for mis-management over the years is complete bolllloxx.

Not sure if we have had the chance to pick the DTD qualifier yet and I might have missed a post listing them.

Is there a list of individual player's accumulated points tally as thinking of using a couple of subs?

Great updates and love the comp.

Cheers

Looks like there's some great eac way thievery to be had inthe ante post market.

My offering:

Each Way Lucky 15 with betfred

Binocular 10/1 Champion Hurdle
Voler La Vedette 4/1 Mares Hurdle
Finians Rainbow 6/1 Champion Chase
Midnight Chase 16/1 Gold Cup

Other possibilities: Peddlars Cross in the Arkle or Dynaste in World Hurdle

Which option is best here plz ? Dynaste in WH, 12/1 e/w on fred, 3.5 tbp on betfair or w/o big bucks 6.4 ? I was thinking since Big Bucks is nailed on it's better to back him in the tbp market than e/w ?

Never done a Lucky 15 before lol, have put those 4 selections in, £1 lucky 15 ew costs £30 and returns £9473.88 ? Is that correct ? Obv I know we don't expect all four to win and are looking to bink places. Have I worked it out right that if all four just placed I'd get just under £200 back ?

Anyone help with this please ? Just wanna no if I'm right on returns, thanks.

I make your returns for 4 winners at £11,589.07 taking place odds at 1/5th and £11,686.20 taking place odds at 1/4.

Your place returns for all 4 winners would be £155.37(1/5th) and £252.50(1/4).

You should d/l this link and it does it all for you in seconds mate, very handy tool when too hard on the brain.

Well good luck anyone with both bets, im sure you will get at least one of them up for the place which at worst will be worth almost £200.

If you are gambling E/W then the bet is automatically twice what your stake is as they are in effect two separate bets.

Think of the E/W as being WIN/PLACE to simplify it.

If you seriously have no idea of betting then not sure you want to know how much Blackpool are letting you down for if the other 3 in your 2nd bet all win their leagues(all top at moment) but if you had West Ham from other bet you would have a serious sweat on till end of season.

I make it about £200K!!, though why on earth you'd want to bet £12.50 e/w on two separate bets all in the same leagues puzzles me but then again you might be at the wind up, but if you're not then i'm
14  Community Forums / Betting Tips and Sport Discussion / Re: question on betting odds each way on: February 14, 2012, 01:25:17 PM
I take it that they are two separate £12.50 e/w Accas mate?

The return is impacted hugely by either all winning or 1 or more not winning as in the first example if all 4 win then your returns would be £7,312.50(win part of bet) + £197.26(Place part of bet), giving a total return of £7,509.76 BUT, if you had 3 winners and one 2nd for example then you only win the E/W(Place) part of the bet which is £197.26.

Of course you could get the nightmare scenario of getting 3 winners and one finishing 4th in which case you would get the square root of fekkk all.

Hope that helps mate.
