1  Poker Forums / The Rail / Re: Advice on Vegas schedule on: May 02, 2013, 08:02:07 PM
Some good advice here Iam looking at playing a schedule from June 22nd-6th July ( Iam over in America for 9 months coaching football)I  was just wondering what the best way off buying into these events I don't have much cash on me but have so on my card is it worth buying in on card or should I start withdrawing the max everyday now at $2 a time for $300 so I have my roll with me In cash! Appreciate any advice, thanks.

I would probably just start stocking up before you head to Vegas, and then you can dump it in the safe when you arrive. I'm there basically the same dates, definitely not coaching Football though Cheesy

Cheers, probly do that then. well ive got a smallish roll for cash games here in Pittsburgh which to be fair should be alot more than what it is now in 2 months time so so so soft here!

Thanks for the replies i regretted my decision after seeing the hands obviously i tanked for about 3 mins and folded! board ran out  , . and the orignal raiser wins the hand with  and the other guy had pocket two spades.

Started playing at 11 am and the hand comes up about half an hour or so into the session so no real reads on any off the players.

8 players, theres 3 limpers to the SB who makes it £13 from a stack of £270 we cover all players at the table, i call in the big blind holding  three clubs , Two others come along for the ride.

we see a flop of  two hearts

origninal raiser makes it £40 we flat that looking to get it in on a non heart  turn with the original rasier or hoping some one behind piles it in with the bare  , or  .

first guy who limped utg+1 thinks for about 1min and ships all in for £229, then the origInal raiser also ships it in. we?Huh?

Any thoughts on the hand much appreciated, thanks

Fold pre flop if you want to burn money. Absolutely calling pre.

Might be a huge leak on my part  that i need to address!

min 3 bet the flop! unlucky to have ran into it but in a vacuum i would be min 3 betting the flop as it keeps the bare k or  q of hearts in because the player has "value" ( one of the best, misused phrase in poker ) to call. i think its a very interesting spot. as there is also merit to just  flatting.

i would fold pre flop, but i would be getting it in now! its a $10 they could/will have absoultely anything.

folding preflop 95% of the time unless i have only got a couple of tables open and notice that the big blind is not a good player.

after your description of the players involved i make it 10,200 and dont plan on folding obviously (might be why iam a huge live fish). if he is as you say solid then can he really be making it 20x bb and you have 3x'd it with aa? this could be his random act of aggression and it is a pretty good spot for him to be getting out of line here. interesting spot though. i can why folding could be argued for! but in game i doubt i do here especially with the extra 4k from the old guy who is almost never flatting aa kk there.

what are the payouts from 9th - 1st? and other stack sizes is very important here. however in a $2 tourney iam getting ak in there alot of the time unless you have specific reads on the player, even so you have aks!

i like to occasionally 3 bet the 1st hand! people will call far too wide and you have position and can take away a bigger pot on a lot of flop, your continuation bet should be about 1/3 of the pot imo on a lot of flops. and play it from there just another line to consider maybe.
