Napoleons in Leeds have a £10 re-buy if you like sitting in a haze of cigarette smoke without being able to move in any direction for hours. You also have the added excitement of the obnoxious behaviour of some of the regulars.

It's worth going once just to see everything that is wrong with UK casino poker concentrated in such a small space.

Not the absolute first but it made me laugh remembering the "Good Old Days".
2  Poker Forums / The Rail / Re: Whats happened to all the live poker info ??? on: February 14, 2012, 01:01:29 PM
The re-arrangement of the forum has left me looking for the threads on upcoming live games and results of recent ones? where have they gone?

Please tell me this isn't a consequence of the deal with DTD ?!?

This isn't a consequence of the deal with DTD Wink

The Gala in the Leeds has a dealer dealt guarenteed prize comp 7 nights a week and about five easy(ish) cash tables when they are all running.  There are three cheap(ish) hotels (Premier inn, Ibis and Holiday Inn Express in close proximity to the casino.

Is any of this legally enforceable and has anyone ever tried?
5  Poker Forums / The Rail / Re: Pokerstars Ten Million $Tournament ... Be Aware of how long it will take on: December 19, 2011, 01:03:25 PM
There was a pretty lol deal with 6 left.

Stars gave the chop numbers, then shortstack says he wants more, so top two give him a bit. 6th now is getting more than 5th, but 5th guy agrees?!?!?

Happy to lock up $500k?

Sixth had $255k locked  anyway.

The top six got amounts ranging from $1,146,574 to $580,724.  The kid who agreed the lowest amount appears to have come 2nd when they played it out.

10.33am it finished. Six way deal agreed before hand though.

Any chance you have pm's and the pop up was a message to let you know you have them?  I've mine set to give a pop up message if a private message comes in.

No, I don't think I have had a pm since foxyamy in 2006 LOL.  I was logged out at the time anyway.

It just happened opening the "Anyone use an electric shaver?" thread.  It also happened a few days ago.

Sometimes when I open threads on this site now I get popups stopped by the browser popup blocker and which I have not allowed so I don't know what they are. Is this kosher as I can never remember this happening on this site previously?

If you get an email  from Bluffpromos with some special offer for FTP/Stars players don't click the link as it appears to try and infect you with a virus.

Anyone know who is behind this?

Aspinall’s Casino in Mayfair

A bricks and mortar casino staking on-line players?   It just looks like yet another staking/trader/shill scheme to me.

The site is registered to a Pete Church if anyone has heard of him.  Additionally it is registered as a non-commercial site as to avoid disclosing a postal contact address.

PS  Mr Church is apparently a player:  http://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/player.php?a=r&n=152708

Obviously decided to re-invest the bag he won in the GUKPT Smiley
13  Poker Forums / The Rail / Re: Ruling - right to see hand? on: February 28, 2011, 11:58:09 AM
This doesn't really answer the question what the rule actually is at DTD (or elsewhere).  Bad form isn't a rule. Bad business isn't a rule.

Players in in poker games frequently do things that are downright rude but any rules the casino have don't seem stop them from doing it.

It is each drivers own legal responsibility to ensure they are fit to drive.  If you were to be involved in an accident and it emerged afterwards were doing some sort of endurance feat it may not look too good.  And another issue is would your motor insurance cover you for something like this?

If you put Sydney (Aus) to Chicago (US) it tells you to kayak Aus to Japan and then then kayak Japan to Hawaii and then kayak Hawaii to US mainland.  When you could just kayak direct straight across the pacific non-stop. Not very reliable is it? Smiley
