Maybe your original line is already the best line.

The deeper the stack depth the more apt I am to take your line. Betting the river if he just flats the turn.

Anyway flatting pre is fine. I would probably check raise the flop. I would prefer to be shallower.

As an avid supporter and player at DTD. I would just like to say well done for making this happen!
8  Poker Forums / Poker Hand Analysis / Re: effective 325bb cooler hand vs redbull £1/£2 no limit holdem at DTD on: October 20, 2008, 04:20:34 PM
It’s hard to say having not been playing the hand myself and not having the benefit of previous history.

Your ability, previous history and knowledge of how he plays will determine how accurately you can pinpoint his range. If this range is accurate than you are crushed. Barring the 10-7 which I would weight less than the 77 and even the 1010 (perhaps not 95/5/0 though). If you add hand 4 & to his range. You have 25% equity. Add even more hands to his range to bring you up to 50% equity, the rake beats you. If you go beyond 50% you may be being too generous with your ranges. Its hard to say with no history though, does he like to peddle the nuts? Or does he frequently put over 200bb with 2 pair or less?

Regardless, people may slate you for this. I don’t think its terrible. Nice to see a hand worth commenting on for once.

I can't say for sure and to try would take far too much explaining. But fwiw imo Im leaning towards more of a science. Not saying there is no art but imo more than 51% sceince.

12  Poker Forums / Poker Hand Analysis / Top two, dosnt feel quite right. on: April 01, 2008, 10:51:07 PM
£0.50-£1 cash game. Effective stacks between hero & villain 150BB. Hero is tight passive and hasnt been in many pots. Villain is tight. But has put in 40BB with less than top pair, has since topped up and is winning.

Hero is dealt  . 2 folds Villain calls Hero is MP2 calls 3 additional callers and big blind checks. Pot is £7.00ish

Flop is  . Villain bets £7, Hero calls £7 4 folds.

Turn is  Villain bets £15, Hero calls £15

River is  Villain bets £25, Hero calls £25

Showdown Hero has two pairs Kings and Jacks. Villain has  set of 5's.

I feel i could have changed my line slightly to have had a better result, what do we think to a raise to £23 ish on the flop and than fold to a £65 £70ish reraise?

13  Poker Forums / The Rail / Re: Tipping, your opinions please on: March 17, 2008, 09:59:18 AM
For the small pots I don’t tip unless I win say 3 in quick succession.

I tip for the bigger pots; the tip size varies on just how big the pot is. £1.50 on average.
