Thanks Will that has put my mind at rest.

Been playing poker reasonably successfully on the net for 18 months and anxious to have a go at a live Tourney.

I'm thinking of going down to the Gutshot tomorrow for the afternoon Freezeout. Has anybody done this tourney? Are the regulars hard on newbies? I'm a bit nervous because I've never dealt before.

Any advice welcome.

I completely understand what you are saying Rob and of course it is your decision.

As an alternative, how about a DTD blog on the DTD website when you get it up and running. That would keep those of us that are interested in developments informed on progress and would be entirely independant of BP.

ooops Posted this without reading to bottom of thread. Good luck with the venture Rob.  I'll be logging in as soon as the DTD website is up and running.

Very surprised no-one has commented on this yet, maybe it was missed due to everyone being at the blonde bash.

I hope this thread can continue.

I am enjoying hearing updates about the club. I actively look for this thread when I logon.

The Wynn for oppulence or Caesars if you would rather have a central location. We stayed at Caesars in December and I tend to agree with Heid it is a little too big and impersonal.

IIRC It was scampi & chips! Although I am suffering from eating far too many pies.

I just read Harrington on Holdem too. It has really improved my game. I liked the fact that he gives loads of real hand examples to illustrate his system.

Short stacked in an STT this afternoon and was dealt  . Inspired by the Rookie I went all-in. Flopped two fours and tripled through. Oh  how I laughed!

I have been thinking for a while that there may be easy pickings in January when all these new players venture online.

It's a shame that the first one clashes with "beat the mob" on Prima.
