I am amazed Martin O'Neill has gone to Villa, he knows he is safe regardless of who takes over.  He must be expecting a wedge to spend on players as that squad had 'fourth bottom' written all over it.

Frank Lampard is a geuinely good player who had a rotten world cup, previously he has performed for England.  If England are to play 4 - 4 - 2 then a straight choice between Gerrard and Lampard needs to be made.  We all know who would win that vote dont we?

Moving Gerrad to the right would be counter productive and given Steve Gerrard wants to play central and is the best player we have for that role.

Moving Gerrard to the right does not get the best out of him and would hinder the progress of Lennon who clearly has the ability to be very effective at International level.

Beckham should have retired but he seems determined to pay for another two years.  If Engalnd play 4 - 5 - 1 we leave Rooney up on his own as we did against Portugal and that did not work.  Those of you who feel Lampard should play I wonder how you would fit him in?

My team 4- 4 -2 (when all fit) Robinson, Neville, Cole, Terry(C), Ferdinand, Gerrard, Hargreaves, J Cole, Lennon, Owen & Rooney

Hargreaves waited an eternity to be played in his natural position and when he finally got the nod he delivered.  It is right to say he will remain a bench player as in the new manager we just have a ginger version of the old one.  All the best teams have a holding player in the middle but I doubt Mr Maclaren will have the bottle to leave out one of his big names.

Dropping Joe Cole would not improve Hargreaves chances of playing it has to be Frank 'don't blame me' Lampard but he will still get a game regardless of it being to the detriment of England winning.

Nottingham Forest will be champions of League One this year, not only a fan's view but realistically this time we should be going up with the squad we have.  Excellent start to the season too!

TV Presenter "No snow overnight lets find out why now with John"

Weatherman "Hello there"

TV Presenter "So John where were the seven inches you promised me last night?"

Understandably the studio was cleared of howling staff as this went out live on an american news channel.

Not sure what fergie is up to with Carrick, two big gaps to fill left by Ruud VN and Roy K and he spends best part of 18 million on a guy who replaces neither of them.  Saha is ok but I doubt you will ever see him hoist the Champions League.

Henman vs Murray going to be very interesting.  I will stick my neck out and go for Henman.

Fergies "Youll need a police escort to get out the ground" rant at the ref was very funny for an anti-man u football fan like myself.

I remember Rob Holinck (that bloke from Holland anyway) fooling Brandon Schafer at a final table on the EPT.

Flop was 77T RH moved all in (at the time they were virtually fifty fifty) holding A7

Mr Schafer had a T and called and then lost.  If you are up againt a 'solid' player and it is heads up I would be tempted to trick my opposition like that.  Even he passes you have at least taken the pot and the other player thinks he has been bluffed off the pot, which could set you up nicely to cash in on some tilting later in the game.

My reasons for the cautious approach in this hand were down to my desire to survive rather than win! negative I know but I did not walk in to the casino to win the tournement, I came in to learn and play well, I feel I did both given I won the majority of hands I played.

When playing a 5$ tournement on the Internet I am playing to win first and learn second.

B & M? I don't know that I am afraid lol

Thanks
