Out of my ante post picks only Loyal Honcho still going, is now time to trade out though? In particular I'm a bit worried about all those wides in the semi, some possibility of a pile up I think. Although he should be ok where he is in that one, if he gets through there will be loads in the final so again possibility of a tricky draw. Think the whole thing is very open, with no dog a class above after Paddy got injured. Logic dictates that makes it time to get off the favourite.
On reflection decided to leave it on. I really think he should go through.

I am on the following antepost at various odds
Jaxerback Loyal Honcho Express Comet Farloe Black Astronomic Tyrur Lee
on the basis that there is a wide and unjustified spread in the value available on a lot of the decent Irish dogs, and a lot of the favourites look too short to me, with some questionmarks. A couple have come in significantly since i backed them due to good trials, especially Comet and Farloe Black, but I reckon there is still probably some mileage in this approach.
I am also on these 2 a bit, just for fun. no theory.
Larkhill Jim Calzaghe Boyo
I am very far from an expert on dogracing though so please don't put too much store in these thoughts if you might have, it should give me an interest for the next few weeks though hopefully, possibly with a view to a bit of trading on betfair as things go on.
Be interested to know what anyone else has gone for. Good luck all.

What does anyone think for the England v NZ game today? I think they are pretty even so a little bit of value in England curerntly (they better be playing both spinners though!) I don't feel too strongly though so I think I will wait to take up a position mid game.

Very exciting but had traded the game all green on betfair and then all bets void for the draw! Must have lost betfair a lot of money in commision as over £7M was matched on the game. Nevermind got another 50 days worth of games to make it all back, fantastic, I love cricket, I also think its the best gambling sport

What if the two playing heads up are colluding??
That's nothing - I collude at Solitaire. But there are card-games where you are supposed to collude - ironically, one of them is called "Solo"...! Anyone remember that? Solo, (5 tricks) Abundance ("Bundle") 9 tricks, Royal Abundance (9 tricks in the nominated suit), Mezzaire (sp), Mezzaire-Avere (sp). I adored playing Mezzaire. For those not aware, Mezzaire is a "Solo" game option in which you have to LOSE tricks, Mezzaire Avere is the same except you have to lose every trick (13) but before the round starts, but after losing the first trick, you place your cards FACE UP on the table. I really was vey good at Mezz - I guess that's where I learned to play losing hands. Great game, thats how I learned to play cards, age 8, I think its 'misere' as in misery and 'misere ouvert' open misery You can play other games 'misere' as well it just means changing the rules to lose, as in suicide chess. Its also a concept in combinatorial game theory but anyway...
