What shops would you recommend. Only shop that sells them locally is Argos... obviously and sadly can't test them there, which is why I've been stuck looking on the internet.
2  Community Forums / The Lounge / Looking for advice for new computer chair on: July 11, 2016, 06:54:15 PM
Looking for advice really on getting a new computer chair, something that's comfortable and offers support. Current chair just isn't cutting it and even sitting in if for a couple of hours with rest period breaks results in back and neck pain. Will be on a budget of around £150 but probably could stretch a little more if there's a really good chair a little above that.

Felt i had to ask somewhere because since deciding to get a new one I've just looked at pages upon pages of places on the internet and have no real idea of what I'm looking for to meet requirements.

I think flop sizing does have to be a tad smaller.

turn and river looks standard to me. Annoying tho. WP

5  Poker Forums / Poker Hand Analysis / Big Game format mtt 17bb deep with 99 on: July 06, 2013, 11:22:38 PM
Mtt is the €7 Double chance (Big Game format) Event 32 of pokerstars.fr micro series. Full ring.

Blinds are 1,500/3000 with ante of 375

We are on the button with 53,893

UTG + 1 opens to 6,000. We currently have only played 30 hands v this villian, in that time he has opened 30% of hands, including the direct 2 before hand. He took the last one down on the turn, the one before he c/f flop.

Folds to us on the button. We can only 3bet for the pot, so we can't shove. We have both blinds covered.

How should we proceed in this hand.
6  Poker Forums / Poker Hand Analysis / AK 200BB deep 4 max mtt facing cold 4 bet on: July 06, 2013, 01:35:40 AM
€5 4-max Deepstack on Winamax

Very early stages, still on level 1. I do have a HUD i'll add those stats, only just got this so sample will be small so don't think it should effect our decisions too much.

Hero is UTG/CO with 20,440

BTN has 21,150

SB has 19,310

BB has 19,100

Hero has  and opens to 220

BTN 3bets to 500

SB 4bets to 2,500

BB folds

Hero: Huh???

BTN hud stats VPIP: 41% PR 35% 3b 17% Sample of 17 hands

SB hud stats VPIP 50% PR 14% 3b 0% sample of 14 hands

I'll Admit to being 'HERO' OP and myself have differing views on this spot.
8  Poker Forums / Diaries and Blogs / Re: Being a Lolpro for dummies. on: June 14, 2013, 03:09:20 AM
I watched your sat as had some interest in it. The same player bust me a couple of stages earlier limp calling with K9 sooted. I would say they where a nit in my experiance till that point, however on the bubble of the SPT sat you where in i think it was 3 seats and £176 for 4th, they snap called off a shove with 62 sooted, despite a player having 2BB elsewhere, turns out they wanted the money. So i assume, they where calling with 'equity' in spots because the reg'd the wrong thing at stage one, and just ran good through. Or at least thats the view I'll take until proven otherwise.

Unlucky in some of your other things, sounds like you ran pretty brutal throughout the day.

Hope to see you at the 6 max, and like you i will grind sats once i make it, so you won't be alone if the usual quaters complain.

As someone who speaks to you often I'll comment.

I think The SPT was pretty well run, the wobbly table thing mentioned was rather annoying i must admit, would have hate to have got chips then suddenly the table wobbles and half of them are in the middle and im pot stuck with 72o. I didn't play cash so can't comment there and i think they stopped the Sit and Goes being run after a while.

While i think you may have benefited from joining me/others on the rail and having a good old drink i respect your decision to leave.

Broadway did well in my opinion, although i feel some things could have been better, i haven't spent alot of time at DTD due to location(and lack of a driving licence), but i feel even the self dealt game at my local casino often has better dealers than what was on offer. Thats not a critism though as one dealer who i thought was pretty bad said he was a reserve, thus i think the casino did make a pretty strong effort.

Once Tikay stopped shouting things, and the casino floor took over it was also impossible to hear who was being called. Again i won't complain.

I feel I've now been harsh here. I hope its came across as constructive.

I hope to see you at the 6 max for what its worth, maybe ill pick somewhere to eat this time around Smiley

Appreciate this goes against the thread title but...reasoning for calling the turn?

AA don't seem ahead a lot of the time anymore. This is why I would reraise the flop, but I like to make the game as simple as possible. Plenty of excuses for draws to shove if people are as bad as Pleno says.

Calling 500 for a heart seems to my mug eyes like a bad idea because you've still got to get paid if it comes, when there's a fair chance you have  X.

As played, I think I'd like to fold. I also think I end up calling for fear of posting the hand on blonde and getting chastised.

we're getting 4/1 so surely if we're dead to a heart we're still getting the right odds? Im happy to take feedback on the hand in other spots tho as i said in OP. I mean if we're getting slightly +EV odds, even though its slight we dont need implied do we?

Or is this a reverse implied spot.

Wow I was told blonde was much better than my usual soarces, waited for a spot to post seems i picked a reasonable hand then Smiley

Thanks for some very good responces.

Yeah basically my thoughts at the time was pure stunned. Not going to denie this is above where i normally play, i also normally play 6 max on sky. Although i have played higher too. This was the first time ive ever found my self in a spot like this.

I left myself with a very narrow range and ended up sigh calling. even then after result im still not sure i was right. He did have the for what its worth so i thought maybe i was thinking results oriented after. but i honestly see so few value hands in range

Level 1 of SCOOP 22 - L $27 buy in.

readless.

Blinds 25/50 - Both hero and our villian are still on the starting stack of 10,000 exactly.

Hero is UTG +2 holds

UTG and +1 fold, Hero opens to 150.

Folds to button who calls. both blinds fold.

Flop is

Hero cbets for 300

Villian raises to 650

Hero calls

Other options - should we raise again here and protect out hand on this kind of wet board, or is pot controlling OOP fine?

Pot stands at 1675

Turn

Hero checks

Villian cont for 500

hero calls

All draws have got there bar 97 we have NF re-draw. Should we just peel or again do we have a raise option. Getting 4/1 on the call to.

Pot is now 2675

River

Hero checks

Villian bets 3,450

Hero

We now face this overbet on the river. we have the nut flush but are still beaten by 2 cards in the deck. Do we have all 3 options avalible in this spot(shove/flat/fold)? Which of the 3 are best? And why should we do each of these lines. At best we're looking at  Xh at worst we're beat by a random 9 or 4 of hearts. - does he have any in range. Why would he over bet this spot?
