Strange thread.

Totally agree

ask a simple, straight forward question
and it ends up like this

Why don't you go on the PHA forum and also set up a diary, to get to know people better on this forum... GLGLGLGLGLGLGL...

thank you

no collusion

just normal working together

working together is very normal in the poker world today

look at the most successful players in the country and you see their results, they are not hermits
Expect a post from Pleno offering you an opportunity. Most of the decent players already do what you are suggesting and use teamviewer/Skype etc. Trying to set your own up and attracting people of the sort of ability you will need will be quite hard. Instead look at what coaching is available for you to join and go from there. This is generally a fast track to success. Gl

thank you

I still have no idea who are you are and what you play (apart from poker)!

I mean if you were online tourney grinder (like myself) with excellent long term results and wanted to discuss strat over skype, I would jump at the chance tbh. Whereas if you are a live cash game grinder, with no discernable proof of results I am not interested.

All I know so far that can't be bothered to go for a Coffee in London. Though I do like Coffee and poker so you never know.

do you live in London
not a grinder but know that is the only way to make a living full time
i want to give it a go with a few people, starting low probably $100 to $200 in total  buyins per day
only play tournaments

I live in Nottingham. Tbh the kind of people I would be looking to get into this kind of thing with (if at all) would be a lot more open and have more of online grinding background.

My suggestion if you want to get something like this out of this particular forum (or any other forum) is to be patient and get your name known round here. That way people can make a judgement on whether you would be someone good to "team" up with.

thank you

I live in Hammersmith, London
have played for 10 years, but now realise the only way to earn a living from poker is through grinding daily
need a few to join me, for trial of 3 months maybe
would rather discuss the other stuff over a coffee
think thats fair enough

why all the hostility, you swear i had stole everyones money lolrelax, its only an idea
if people are not willing to meet and talk about it, well so be it lol

Sir,

Please read my previous replies carefully.

We are cool, but you are being given good advice & replies, & don't seem to be taking it in the intended spirit.

Are we cool, Ylanda, are we cool?

PS - Hammersmith. Know it well, used to be a regular at the Palais. Two seperate tube stations, one either side of the Broadway, too. Bus Station. Heaven on the A4.

The Palais is closed now
lots of women asking for you though !

It's a little unusual for a complete newcomer to come on & request this, hence a little reserve & caution. Nobody is going to do this with a complete stranger, for very obvious reasons.

Good point

Just thought this was best place to start looking
never thought about the newcomer bit

Tbh with you this is only really something Id do with friends. I do do it regularly, and think it helps alot tbh.

Good idea, just think you need to keep it between you/your immediate friends as opposed to asking on an online forum

dont have a lot of poker friends who can devote time and money

thats why thought this was goood place to meet, poker players with the same idea
14  Poker Forums / The Rail / Re: Poker Team on: June 14, 2012, 05:02:32 PM
Thanks for the feedback guys

really would like to meet an discuss in person rather than on the forums

this is not trying to cheat
its just simple real life interaction, to see if we could learn off each other
and maybe make a big success from poker
just like all the smart guys do
very few off the winners play on their own, they understand that you need a team to talk and discuss

Hope someone sees my point

kind of hoping there are players out there, who feel the same
and want to get together
15  Poker Forums / The Rail / Re: Poker Team on: June 14, 2012, 03:29:33 PM
no collusion

just normal working together

i think it is fairly common, especially with the best players in the country

they are doing something right

and they are not colluding
