I was in 49th position with around 6-7BB I think the random hand dealer set me up to fall as they wanted people out. The all in had QQ I called and went out as didn't hit

So I played the megasat the other night for the DTD 300 this weekend, it has 50 seats to give for the main event. Anyway it has 175 runners or thereabouts and it's down to the last 60 players. I get KK UTG and min raise to 16000, as the binds are 4-8000 I have less than 10BB at around 60000 so I want a caller but unfortunately don't get one so pick up the pot with the antes around 15000. This is the thing though, the next hand I get AK, I also raise 16000 then this other player goes AI for his life with 80000. Should you call? Or try and last the remaining time out to get the seat? I felt though if I called and won it would gurantee the seat. Responses please and I'll let you know the outcome of the hand

oh yeh, us rookies should'nt do what you tell us to do. I mean it's not worth a gamble to see a flop..never, lets just play safe at all costs, I mean  you've got the 'range' havn't you? You know exactly what the other player has got? Right? Well us poor players like to get other the likes of Alan Stearn AI for their tourney lifes when they have got nearly no chance of winning. This will be my last post on this matter, I have said what i have believed is the right thing to do. Alan banged his fist down and shouted 'yes' when he hit. If you back that up then get on with it. Over and out.

Range this range that what bs. And for him who said the all in was ridic your a donk. The pot was over 15000 id taken a bit of a gamble pre yes because of the value to call.  And id like to play any of you who would put their tourney life on the line with one pair facing an all in. He was gutted when he saw what he,d done to himself and then hit a 3 outer ffs. Any1 who thinks he,s in front with AJo facing this bet must be mad. He even told himself what i had and still made the call. Thats fin ridic.

Of course i wanted the call but only a bad player would make it and those of you backing the caller are as bad a player as him.

I am never folding A9 in SB when I'm getting nearly 5-1 pot odds after a raise and a call, learn to play who critisised this. I spiked two pair just what I wanted against a raiser if I just hit top pair then I check - fold/call adjust to the bets. He on the other hand made a garbage call it would have been just as bad if he had AK as both hands AJ and AK play the same. Fair play to the kid who knocked him out nice post. He did'nt deserve to get there in the first place.

I thought I would post and correct the Blondepoker sight. My name is Anthony Martin and I played the recent DTD £300 Feb' tournament having finished 12th in the January tournament. At the beggining of level 8 I was sat with 40000 chips which was about average as the blinds were 500-1000. Alan Stearn was sat to my left in the BB as I was in the SB. There was a MP flat caller and as I looked at my cards I saw A9o, I called as well. Alan Stearn raised to 3000. Both the caller and myself called the raise.
Now the flop came A, 9, 3.. perfect for a check which I did Alan Stearn bet 3000 the other player called and I went AI. Now after great deliberation Alan after telling himself I had two pair called the AI for his tourney life. The other player folded. As I turned over my two pair he groaned and showed AJo. Now to me this is an apalling call, how he thought he was in front to make the call is beyond me. If he thought I was putting my tournament life on the line with anything less than two pair well forgive me but I am not having it. His reaction when the Jack hit the turn was equally bad shouting 'yes' and thumping the table.
Blonde poker reported this in their live reporting as though we both got it in on an equal basis as such. No, he made a terrible call and got rewarded for his bad play. He then went on to finish in 4th place and collected £10,000, probably forgetting his bad play and sportsmanship. Just to put the record straight
