This list is exactly what I mean.
I don't think the government has a right to make us do/not do any of those things. Children yes but free thinking adults no.
I always put my seat belt on and don't do drugs but that is my decision. I have never understood how the goverment can decide what drugs you can take and what ones you cannot. Why is one plant illegal another not?
Where does the nanny state end? Rugby,Boxing, Fishing? It will just go on and on and on.

Jonjo,

Are you the chap from next door? If so, welcome to blonde.

I enjoy your Posts there, good solid constructive stuff. (Car crash hands etc)

If you are not the same chap, bugger off.

Wink

Thanks Tikay. Yes it is me from next door.

People have their own minds and make their own choices.
It is not the goverments responsability to decide what risks we can or can not take.The goverment should only get involved if those risks pose a danger or affect other people who have not made that decision.

I don't think you can give the player an average stack. I finished 24th when 24 went through to day 2 and if I had known I would receive an average stack if busting I would have played the last hand very different.

divide finishing live stacks by ten

this equalises the day 2 starting stacks between online and live day 1s

The Online structures were announced (and played in some cases) before DTD took over running the ISPT, so as its not possible to have 10,20,5 chip denominations in the liVe day 1 s at the club DTD are giving 50,000 starting, then dividing by ten at the end

Ok that makes sense. Thanks.
I guess it was obvious but I couldn't find it anywhere on the ISPT site for conformation.

Have looked at all the  info about playing day 1 online or live but can not work out how this works.

Day 1 online : starting stack 5000  top 10% go through to day 2 live with the same stack they have got from day 1 online.

Day 1 live: starting stack 50000 top 10% go through to live event with same stack they got from day 1 live.

Lets say both days get 100 runners so the average stacks when both get down to 10 players will be :
Online = [100 x 5000 ] /10 = 50,000
Live    = [100 x 50000] /10 = 500,000

The online events blinds are 1/10th of the live ones  but that doesn't change the actuall chips in play so there is no way you can amass the same amount online as you could live.

I may have missed something here or just totally got my maths wrong but can anyone explain how this can be right?
