You play 2-5x more hands per hour online than you do live ( if you play stud eight or better on a high speed table that could well be 10-15 times higher ). You are going to see more bad beats in 1hr online than you would in an evening of live play. Also the skill level of low limit players tends to lend itself to more suckouts because: 1. People misplay big hands. 2. People like to call and bluff a lot. So there you go.

Everyone can run bad. I've seen posts of long term winning players drop their bankroll over 50,000 hands. Most of the top pros you know of today have been broke at least one, some many times.
So when your full house gets busted by some smurf hoping for an inside straight and he makes runner runner quads, dont throw your monitor in the pool - find out his name and where he lives and go and kick his head in.
Um so anyway, take up buddhism and chill.

Poker on TV is crap regardless, its good TV when:
The banter is amusing. eg Gsns high stakes or some annoying twat at the wsop. ( read matusow/hellmuth/etc ). The plays are tension filled. Hence the high amount of bluffs/rebluffs shown on TV as well as badbeats.
Celebrity poker tournaments are thus crap because:
They are all zlisters who couldn't be witty if you had them strapped to a large catapult and had someone threatening to chop the rope holding it back unless they were witty. They couldn't make a good move if you had some sharks with lasers on their heads threatening them.

The chips he loses are worth more than the chips he wins, therefore pot odds are completely irrelevant. Protecting your position is the most important issue. By folding you can survive at least two more rounds, four players left cannot, therefore they are much more likely to go broke before you. 1st makes as much as 9th here, there is no need to increase chip position to win.
