Bust last hand before 1st break, big blind special with 52, flopped 2 pair and got it all in v A5. Ace on the river sent me home

I know this week is the run up to the DTD leg of the Grand Prix tour so you want as many qualifiers as possible for that but it'd be good if at least one live day 1 this weekend was players choice

I'd like to play a Grand Prix day 1 if I bust but I can't make it next weekend

I think us cheapskates have done pretty well as a team considering how often we've been able to play. Would be interesting to see a points/buy ins table

I've been frustrated the last few weeks as it seems I'm working every evening or early morning and I haven't had the chance to do as many mini's/micros as I'd have liked.
With the fields dropping to less than 200 I wanted a shot at these 'easier' points  Sad

Still, 505000 gives us all a nice 126bb starting stack and plenty of play, see you all there!

shall we all arrange to meet up in the bar area beforehand, 1pm start i think?

My train gets into Nottingham about 11 so I'll definitely be killing time in the bar beforehand

good see you there

i think name badges are order of the day, so we can identify each other. i know ripple and smurf on your team so we can all team talk beforehand.

I met smurf briefly at the Goliath so hopefully we'll recognise eachother, apart from that I have an old work's namebadge that i dropped on the drive at home and then it got run over and mangled  Grin

I mainly use CooperAyIt or variations on that nowadays

my surname is Cooper so that is pretty much self explanatory........

Ay It is a Black Country phrase for 'isn't it' - one of my mates, sadly no longer with us, used to shout 'Cooper Ay it!' every time he saw me anywhere so I guess I use it as a kind of tribute to him

Black Country version of innit, innit

Ar me mon

The first two shows were on bt/espn channel last night 9-11pm, got lucky and managed to spot them. Put it on series record but there is not listing for the next episodes so probably going to be all over the place.

I'd got mine set as a series record from the national championships and I just found out it recorded 2 main event day 4's at 4am and 5am last night on bt/espn

I read somewhere that it's switching from ESPN2 to ESPN from Oct 4th so that should be good news for anyone with BT ESPN.

edit - nevermind can see that on the initial post now

LADIES

1    Vanessa Haney    £5,250.00
2    Lorraine Wasiuta    £3,150.00
3    Jessica Pilkington    £2,100.00
4    Amanda Birney    £1,400.00
5    Hazel Birchnall    £900.00

Well played Amanda Birney, on my table for most of the first day of the Goliath and a known face from a couple of my local tourneys

Good with table banter and a pleasure to play with even if she did get dealt kings 7 times within the first 6 levels at Cov   Grin

Could still see right through her 'Oh aren't I just a lucky woman' act though Smiley

I've never been a fan of HUD's and I don't use one. May be viewed as a leak these days but it's just a personal preference as I enjoy playing live so don't want to become reliant on one and also I think they'll be banned from a lot of sites soon anyway.

Don't think anyone should call them 'unfair' though, it's legal and there if you want to use it.

It's almost like complaining 20 years ago that the guy who just beat you has read Super System and you haven't

By chopping 1 hour+ out of the early levels level 25 will obviously start just over an hour earlier...hopefully this will ensure a good hour earlier finish - sounds good to me  thumbs up.

...will let you know tomorrow after I bink the micro

Couldn't quite bink the micro but got a respectable 5th...knocked out around midnight so a slightly earlier finish than the previous structure

Nice one  thumbs up

Haven't been able to play evenings for about a week due to work but I'm back in for tonight's micro and mini
13  Poker Forums / The Rail / Re: The official partypoker UK Team Challenge thread on: August 25, 2015, 12:53:43 PM
Before the challenge they used to finish about eleven but as the challenge has seen a big increase in players (an obvious success) even starting at seven they go on very late...final tabled in eighth at the weekend and that was one o'clock - up at six with work most days

A 7pm turboonce a week midweek would be good 😀

15,000 chips away.....I bet you've made it by the weekend 👍

Maybe 8 min blinds for the micro?

I think this has been mentioned before as a partypoker not DTD thing but the 14 levels of late reg is crazy too imo

still a great promotion though so I'm not complaining

playing to night 15 levels off late reg in both mini and micro !

I see they take my suggestions seriously!  Grin

In all seriousness though that is ridiculously good value

Nice one

now I final tabled 3 nano's in the last 2 weeks so I assume this will be backdated....
