1  Poker Forums / The Rail / Re: Negreanu's Blog on: April 10, 2007, 03:17:09 PM
Hi all hope you are all ok. Just thougt i would let you know that i am in Vegas to meet up with Phil. We met in Monte Carlo and he brought his own arbitrator lol So nothing was resolved. We agreed to get an independant one and whatever their conclusion we all agree to abide by it and put the matter to bed. We wil let you all know the outcome. As the self appointed voice of reason we thought we would use Mr Negreanu. We know he has a balanced view on all matters and always listens to both sides before making a judgment. On that basis he is our first choice. All the best Marc

Hi all, i have been asked to reply to Kanos thread re golf game in Australia. On the basis that his post begins self-indulgent. semi-successful, boastful etc don't ask me how but i had an idea how his post may go, in poker terms he gave his hand away. If he had read i was the cause of climate control and poverty in the Third World i guess he would of just jumped in and slagged me off. Sorry i digress, but i feel better!! It is difficult to know where to start as he is so factually incorrect: I last saw Eric Sagstrom in Vegas in April 2006 so he never walked off after 9 holes and he may deserve an apology on the basis that "he had no intention of paying" for a game he never attended. (IMO) Kano and others may disagree.
At the start of the game we said to Phil that as we haven't played for 3 months and he must have improved we need to adjust the handicaps. We could not agree and we were doomed to no game until Ram said "does Eric Lingdren still give you 10 shots" to which Phil replied yes!!On that piece of information we had a game. As we always bitch about handicaps throughout the match Phil suggested that we agree to play 18 holes with no adjustment and then adjust for the next series of games. We agreed . I had 7 pars and a birdie back nine( even though i stormed off after 7 holes in a rage) and we lost 8 holes as they were 9 under for the last 7 holes. as anyone who plays golf would know when playing better ball doubles it is very hard to win by 3 or more holes , they finished 14 up lol. We have had the better of Phil in golf games over the last year but our biggest victory was 3 up. We had been spanked but arranged a new revised game later that week. We went out together that night (even though we have severed ties and have all this supposed ill feeling). Later on we met Eric who informed us that he gives Phil NO SHOTS. We therefore felt aggrieved and Ram asked Phil for an apology. As to wether we pay or not will be discussed in Vegas in April when we next meet. Let me put this question to you all. If i had turned up with a pro golfer and Phil said do you get shots off Eric, we said yes 10 . We played and won then he found out should he pay even a penny? If you think that he has been hustled not cheated and its just unlucky then you must be of the opinion that we should pay. In saying that If when we meet and we cant agree we will probably pay and sever ties. To gain an edge yes to win at all costs no thankyou. I will let you all know the outcome this April.

Hi Blondites, today we are in sunny Brighton. Staying at the film set of the latest Rocky Horror show movie, known as The Lannsdowne Palace Hotel. Chosen by Elblondie this place was also the setting for Debbie Does Dallas, so i am told!! Eveywhere you look is wall to wall velvet in purples and reds. Reception is dark purple cushioned velvet and the staff have velvet suits and purple ties. This place could get spooky after dark. Egor took us to our rooms and we passed the Adams Family ordering extra velvet pillows in the hall. Aghh no need to have ordered extra, i have 8 velvet cushions on my bed, do they think i have Kate Winslett popping round for a portrait. Knock on the door. Could it be?  No. Its Chessa the Scotsman and hes refusing to get his kit off. We made El Blondie stay at The Marriott in London last night as we refused to stay in his hotel (a bedsit in Old Kent Road) and he is obviously getting his own back. Anyway have a great Christmas everyone and hope to see some of you on the cruise in Jan. All the best Mr Cool PS ElBlondie is rowing his way around the Caribbean, apparently its cheaper!!

I know cupcake well and he must have been trying to impress everyone by offering $3 tip. Hes an ex cabie for goodness sake. When we played golf together he kept taking the longest route in the buggy to the ball. Old habits DIE HARD (Had to get the John McLean bit in )LOL

Hiya golfing partner hows the cabbie business going? Everyone deserves to know Cupcakes golfing prowess.
So as to finish our game during daylight we awarded J with a capped score of 10 per hole, after his 13, 15, 16 start. Lost two dozen balls minimum on the day!!The game was Mr Cool and Cupcake v Elblondie and Rookies total scores added together. Instead of trying to prove us wrong he looked at the next hole and gleefully declared f*** me i will stay in the buggy for this one and take a 10.!!!
The best connection with the club he had all day was when he hit himself on the leg with it on the eigth green. LOL. Elblondie laughed so much at Cupcake rolling round on the floor in agony that he shanked his bunker shot which screamed past my head and hit his partner Rookie full in the chest. Now two rolling on the floor in agony and two in laughter. Even more LOL. What a great geezza cant wait to meet up again (not for golf). All the best mate.Mr Cool

NO
You know you love me really . Just gone out to guess who!!! Thats right my old mate Elblondie. Shock and amazement we get drawn sitting next to each other for the fourth straight tournament in a row. Technically he did not get his revenge because it left me with 125 in chips. Im off to cheer him on as he now is ok on chips. Our hands were Ah and the dealer showed the first card as an ace and DC thought i had got him again but a ten followed. He now has about 26k so looking ok. I am off to cheer on all my 10% boys. See you all later.

I know for sure how this came about. Elblondie told Rookie that blondes have more fun. Somewhere in the translation blonde became yellow!!
