I'd probably dump this in the SB to a raise from the other big stack.....but why not call the flop?....it's 3k to you with 13k-odd in the pot. See the turn and then play from there.
Once he's called the flop and you haven't improved on the turn then that's the hand over for me. Check the turn and fold to a bet. I don't think this is a weak play....you tried the steal, made the continuation bet and got called. He could easily have a weak 10 or some other PP, he might even be calling you down with AK....and if he does read you for two big cards then he's letting you do the betting.
I'm not saying he's right to call you down here necessarily but it does mean if you have an overpair in this situation next time then he'll pay you for it.
It also look like you're in the CO....I don't think it's worth a raise from there.
I'm calling this from your reads let alone the odds....UTG is on a probable overpair and SB could have a range of hand including even something like TPTK. I don't think I'm good enough to lay it down! I'd be gutted if I saw set over set but c'est la vie.
I like Everton for next week..........or going on the fortunate win my beloved Spurs took yesterday after a thorough mauling, Blackburn are worth a look.
I think you are well ahead here and he is making a move . The texture of the board dictates you can only call tho
I agree with Jezza....the flush is massive heads up but what with the texture of the board I think I could only call. If I knew that villain was the kind of player who bet at the end with anything though I would consider the all-in. Problem is if you lose you haven't got a chance to play back with the blinds the way they are.
Call.
Sidenote: I definitely think you need to define your hand earlier though....if you haven't been playing aggressively earlier now is the time to start getting that way...at 1.5k the blinds are valuable. Bet that flop to define your hand.
Who have you picked so far?....or are they all available for selection.
I agree with Kev....got to be City from those choices. I'd love to say Fulham....they've got a great home record....but me being a Spurs fan sways me slightly.
Would he have gone all-in if he had KK?....or even TT for that matter.....I would have wanted a call form you here at least if that's what I was holding. Why push it all in with two others still in with the best hand?
Or am maybe I'm missing something here?....wouldn't surprise me
Yup...as a Madrid and Spurs fan last night was not great....woeful is the word that springs to mind. Hats off to Arsenal though played the perfect away game against Madrid...9 behind the ball and hit them on the break.
