I played SNGs almost exclusively between July and October of this year logging several thousands.  If you use Party or Stars, there is a program called SNG Tracker which logs all your SNGs and makes all sorts of nifty graphs.

I played 8-10 at a time at the $33 and $55 level.  I don't remember the results for each level, but the cumulative was something like 38% ITM, 18% ROI.  I have a hyper aggressive bubble strategy so I won like 15% of all games, but actually had more 4ths than 3rds...i still think the math works out in my favor.

Best of all, each SNG averages only 34 minutes for me, so your hourly rate can really become something pretty decent.

Thanks Tikay...much appreciated.

I can't imagine anywhere more depressing to work than Las Vegas...sure it's fun to visit for a week, but I'm not sure I could handle the barrage of slot machine noise and 60 year old scantily clad cocktail waitresses for an enitre year.

If anyone has any other suggestions, or even some leads, that'd be amazing.

Thanks,
Ezra

Hello All:

I am an American college student graduating this spring.  I spent 6 months living in Europe recently and absolutely fell in love with everything about Europe...upon graduating, I plan to move to Europe -- my first choice being London.

Though I have done extremely well playing poker, part of taking a year off to live abroad is being to able to save up a lot of money for starting a business, downpayment on a house, or something of that nature.  That said, living costs of London (or other expensive Euro cities) coupled with travel & festival costs could prove prove prohibitive if I don't have any big cashes or get stuck in a period, large downswing (which seem to happen several times a year).

To mitigate any risk of going broke (and increase my likelihood of saving a fair amount of money), I thought it might be fun to get a poker job in London.  Either working in a cardroom, for an online poker site, at a magazine, or one of the myriad of poker shows that are gaining in popularity in Europe.  Though I've never worked at a card club before, I have extensive experience in youth marketing, interactive/online marketing, journalism, and film production, so my resume certainly gives me options.

Does anyone have any suggestions or someone I might be able to contact regarding possibly finding a job beginning this summer?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, and I look forward to seeing many of you at the tables this year.

Tikay-

Thanks for the kind words.  Learned about the site from your shirt Smiley  That advertising really does work!

I said hi to Isabelle for you.  Then busted her an hour later.  I don't think she minded, as she came in second the night before. I bubbled the 200 in 24th, and got bad beat out of the 300.

As for other tourneys...I actually have to return to America this month for the summer which is very dissapointing as I prefer Europe by far.  We will see about tourneys for the next few months...have any recommendations for some tourneys in Europe that are great value? Cheap hotels, good events, and good people?  I can maybe fly over for one tourney every 6 weeks or so.  UK tourneys are tough for me because my dollar is so terrible to your pound.

Best of luck in Vienna.

yes, i suppose im not very memorable.  Perhaps I shouldve mentioned the Ferragamo shades.  Im the young American who lives in Italy.  I sat two spots to your left in Italy and raised you hard once out of the BB with Jacks.  Also sat at your table during Deauville for much of day 2.

Good site.  I enjoy it a lot.
