I am an old misery guts when it comes to fireworks. I hate them, despise them and wish they where not sold.
Unfortunately they are, and other people should have the right to use them if they want. Rather than worrying about a dog, I worry about my 15 month old boy who wakes up crying when they go off..
I do think apart from the 5th of Novemeber they should only be used by licensed persons, and the penalties should be servere for breaking the law. Also, any shop selling them before the 4th of Novemeber should have the fireworks confiscated. That would stop other retailers selling them illegally.

Has anyone been following the thread on 2+2 about this, and if so what do you think? My mate just put me onto it, and I thought at first that there is no way it could be right, but after reading a few forums and blogs about it, who knows?
There is also a podcast about it Pocket5's. If its true surely thats the end of absolute poker, and it will bring uncertainty to the rest of the industry?

absolutely I love watching good speech players work. people who keep some class at the same time. couple that spring to mind, I sat next to Lawrence Gosney in my first £100 rebuy at notts a few years ago and it was a joy to watch. I also remember Brian Wilson on the BPO a couple of years ago. Was never once insulting or rude, but never shut up. Negraneu isalso a class act at seemingly friendly chat while he's riffling through your subconscious. I don't think moving chips around is the say as saying "I raise.......................my hand." That's clearly angle shooting and you should be made to put in a minimum raise if you did that. One Roberto Romanello is great at speech play. When he was at the table in Cardiff it was a master class of speech play. It was all friendly and fuuny, but it was designed to get information, and I have to say he was really good.

It was clockwise for me and anti clockwise for my wife, at the same time. I could not see where she was coming from.
But after several munites, if you look in the corner of your eye, you can almost choose which way she turns....
BTW the pic of the 2 next to each other drove me nuts. One would change mid turn then I would look at that and the other would change direction.....
Good though.,.,

I downloaded the software, used it once in the free trial for a 20 man game in the house. Question is, I never got enough use out of it to really test it, so is it worth paying the money for, or is there a free alternative out there that does the same job?

They are not robbing the belongings. They are simply taking it and moving it to somewhere else. The person who is renting the property has lost all rights to be there.
You will find that after 3 months of non payment of rent that the person will stretch this out for as long as possible and it could be up to 12 months, and then wlll in general cause damage to the property, and with no comeback on the tenant.
If the tenant has a family and especially children living there, well that changes things again. It is a hard one to call.
As said earlier the owner does take the major risk and this is known before hand, but I could understande why the owner would want the tenant out.
I am not saying it is right, but I can understand it if its done.

It is a tough one, and a situation my one of my firends has been in.
After a couple of months my friend was missing the payments and this led to the mortgage company getting in touch and it was a close call that they nearly took his house off him, and he has a wife and kids. He had to resort to the bully boy tactics. I don't think he wanted to do it but was left no choice. That is the other side of the coin...
Two wrongs don't make a right. But if they can't pay, it is not going to help the owner. If you miss one payment you should be on the phone, and really make sure that they make the second payment.
If you warn them you are doing the right thing, if you don't you are also doing the right thing (the owner may be in financial difficulty because of this person)

Can Rob now recover his costs from objectors???
 - Oh please let him sue for costs!!!! Don't think they can get costs. Application for the licence is due process and anyone can object. Thank God this came through and the Magistrates seen the light, and thanks to the clerk of the court who would of directed them in that direction. WooooHoooooo Cant wait for the doors to open. As someone said earlier, lets now carry this support through and make the club a success, and then maybe more Poker Clubs will open up around the UK.
