5  Poker Forums / The Rail / Re: Payout Structures on: August 23, 2005, 07:58:35 PM
If you go Nottm Gala they have different pay-out structures depending on comp, The 10 pound re-buy game has first prize of 30% where other comps are 40%, nightfly has done a study into this and discovered that although 40% is advetised for winner they only takes home (or drop in casino) about 30% because of deals or chip counts. This suggests a flatter structure is required for all comps
6  Poker Forums / The Rail / Re: Birmingham's misc' Casinos ? on: July 29, 2005, 12:27:42 PM
hi all, i manage a small cardroom in Nottingham with average 90 players per comp ranging from 10 pounds up to 300 pounds depending on night  and week, i have visited Gala Birmingham several times to work and find their cardroom small but cosy (5 tables at the moment but growing to 6 soon) i believe there is a place in the market place for 5 and 10 pound nights weather it be for beginners or novices,so get down and support the poker boom in all cardrooms and you will all end up with what you want, better players, bigger prize pools and entertaining nights out with mates. Any comments please reply tnx

You posed 4 questions, here are your answers, firstly management did not know about your nottm team playing blackpool and who gets to play in the team anyway or is it just open to your friends. Secondly the recruitment of gaming staff is not easy but every effort is being made.Thirdly start times are being looked into as it has a an impact on other departments within the casino structure and finally as for 425 covering the final, Tikay has been spoken to about the situation. So i hope this answers your questions. I await your reply on here or in person.

to all those who are slagging off Gala Nottm cardroom please come down and speak to the management in person and they will put you right on a few issues.on another point a CASINO is like any other business in respect it is there to make a profit, from what i can gather from these pages is, that the people complaining are the ones who go in, .play and then leave because the casinos are not LiNING thier pockets.please reply
