We play it at Stoke with the option of having a wild card (any card to make a high and low).

Really juices the pots up & is great fun. Our blinds are £1/£1 however.

They weren't burning in superstudd last time I played in stoke. They sorted that out now?

Sometimes they do & somethimes they dont. I mentioned that they do at dtd and others but the regulars have got used to no burn card unless the player calling the game stipulates it.  Being dealer dealt it doesn't really bother me to be honest.

Superstud with any card wild is a favourite at Stoke Circus, along with Maltese cross. Both great games.

So 99 big blinds is a shortstack is it?  thats my lesson of the day learnt then.

Have to agree with boldie, even though he's a legend, A9 in ep is an instant fold for me.  Once its played out however its tough to get away from although its obvious 2pair or a set is out there so if the board pairs nut flush no good anyway.

Good grief Rich, that's a nice Omaha Final Table!

Penly always had chips, Wernick (3rd) Duval (5th) & Nash (6th) are real old-school, but I don't know if the Vinson is Adam or Alan, both were there.

"I Liepina" is the interesting one, that's Irina, Steve Jeleniks beautiful companion. She has one helluva game in Hold-Em, & she had 18k at the first break last night. She sometimes comes across as a bit shy at the Table, but her English is not perfect, & I think she just struggles with the language a bit. She sure ain't shy when it comes to bluffing though, & has a sort of Annette robotic look to her when she's at it. She'll win a vey big Comp quite soon, I'm sure of that, & she ran well in one of the recent EPT's I believe - Bahamas? I hear she does very well in Online Qualifiers, too.

Well done her.

That person in 7th place was me

It was my first major omaha comp & such a thrill to FT with so many esteemed players in attendance. It was Adam not Alan who finished second Tikay, another player emerging from the Vinson stables.

You may know me tikay from the opening night of DTD when we sat together shortstacked for most of it buying each other coffees Smiley  I had the fortune of winning it. You also cashed if I remember right.

I'd have reinvested my omaha cash into the main event but was going to see the legendary Stranglers Saturday night so couldn't partake.

More Omaha please, £250 again would be nice, the $500 at the vic is pushing it a bit for me!

Not only broken boats, anything in fact that needs floating onto it. Amazing things.

Are you a bit of a nautical chap Jonah? (I guess the name should be a clue).

Ferries apart, & the Laddies Cruise 2 years ago, (we sailed in a skyscraper) I've not spent as much time as I'd like on Ships.

But I had the immense good fortune to spend two 3 or 4 day cruises on a yacht a couple of years ago, the "Lady K" as I recall. She was magnificent, a crew of 22, three chefs, it was like being a millionaire for a few days. Ahh, memories. I'll try & find a pic of Lady K - she was a proper yacht, steel-hulled, not a plastic jobbie, & she's based in Athens, but is usually moored in Monte Carlo.

I had the pleasure of doing some time in the RN & Merchant in my youth. Even though I left many years ago the sea & the things that sail on it still fascinate me.

My dream was once i'd completed my time to move to the South of France and work on the "posh boats" for a few years. It was in the late 80's when it was all "my boats bigger than your boat" mentality. I'd done a couple of years aboard HMY Britannia (or the royal yacht) and as such was guaranteed to walk onto any super yacht going purely so the owner could brag about his/her staff having worked for Royalty.

Trouble was I met the missus 6 months before I was due to go which scuppered those plans talktothehand

Now living in sunny Stoke......aint life great
