The audience is getting louder as we reach the final five.

And finally the players sat down to play..

After the initial announcements a lady sang the American National Anthem...

The media scrum continued today for the final table. While cameras snapped around him the starting dealer amused himself with some card flourishes.

The players have remained calm throughout the media scrum and appear immune to the constant intrusion. It is as if they have become used to the press presence and have tunnel vision for their game.

There is a lot of British interest and support and also a lot of comaradery (if thats how you spell it!!) amongst the players - many chatting before the event and wishing each other good luck. The players have friends and colleagues watching as well as their sponsor and it is a very emotionally charged atmosphere.

Some images from today - it is an enormous media circus with press everywhere and spectators watching on huge screens outside the tournament area. There are occassional shouts and whoops from the spectators as they watch the action fed from the TV table inside. Only people over 21 have been allowed in these areas so players who brought their kids along to watch have had them turned away.

Well it had to happen - Tikay finally got to sit down and play poker after working 36 hours straight at the WSOP. And yes that really is his chip stack!!!

Luckily the cap covered the blonde hair so no one thought he was John Inman...
