1  Poker Forums / The Rail / I've never wanted to overhear a conversation so much... on: September 06, 2006, 02:33:30 PM
This could potentially be an amazing conversation, but I have no idea what could have been said? Any ideas?

I work next door to Trading Standards and during a sneaky fag break have just seen a man with a rather angry looking face walk into there with a 2 foot marrow under his arm...

I've never been so excited as a west ham fan! Amazing stuff. Can't wait til my next game up UP when we play newcastle in a couple of weeks.

Thank god we did something good in the transfer window rather than just signing a couple of whinging gits from somewhere like Fulham or Wigan or something....

I overheard a guy at an adjacent table to mine mine annouce "I know I'm behind, but I'm pretty sure I'll outdraw you"...

couple of seconds later his mates shouts "Did you you outdraw him then?" to which he replies "No... the lucky fish".

10  Poker Forums / The Rail / Cash Game Question on: July 25, 2006, 12:21:22 PM
If you sit down at a table with say $25, and then turn that into $50, you can't then sit back at that same table with less than $50... how long does this last for? How many minutes/hours/days need to pass since leaving I left the table, until I can sit down with $25 again?

BTW this isn't a nasty plan to try and dump chips off of each and every table I play on. But I'm finding I am playing a lot better in short sessions, and then starting to play terrible with any decent amount of chips/money.

Is this a tactic any other cash game players use?

Anyone know?

From a player point of view I think Aces is an excellent choice as your Pro. As I'll be a regular player at the club I'm quite looking forward to getting to know the bloke. Obviously I remember seeing great performances from him on LNP but also on a poker documentary when he talk really honestly about the financial pitfalls of poker and balancing it with his drainage (?) business and personal life. Others on the film were talking as though poker was a life of effortless luxury and Simons honesty about it impressed me. His contribution to the Blonde forum is always worthwhile and although I didn't get to play with him at BB1 he seemed to impress everyone he did play with with his character as much as his game.

As soon as it was anounced I thought Simon Trumper was a top draw choice for Live Poker Host at DTD.

Seconded. Great choice IMO.

With one player to act behind you and that board, I think that's a pass for me. You got loads of chips back, and there's no need to put your chips into a pot where you could be up against a set, a draw or a bigger pair.
