Thanks Rod. When we went to Duxford we actually sat in an aircraft suimulator which was programmed to be a WII pilot in combat, & to be honest, it scared me big time. The bravery of those pilots was extraordinary. I often wonder, should there be another conventional war, if modern youth would be as brave & durable, but many stories from the Falklands War seem to suggest they would, in particular that remarkable overnight yomp into Stanley. This is a chap you will find very interesting Tikay, he was a personal friend of mine & my ALL time hero. I doubt that anyone will ever replace him either! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ray_HolmesYou always bring up thought provoking lines on this blog & what you say about the youth of today may well be true, I doubt very much they would be lying about there age in order to go in to battle. The guys that are in the forces right now are a different kettle of fish mind, the battles faced every day in Afganistan would be something none of us would want to encounter.

Have just got that other tip from my friend in Bristol, its infact a gas company and he says its highly volatile so I personally wont be investing the name was LNGA. DES are doing well should continue to rise as we get closer to February and then the drilling should begin Now that is sooooo funny!!!!......LMFAO Yeah I know bit of a contradiction I guess, I know Oil's just as bad don't worry. Its more because of the source (person who tipped me) its came from to be honest. I don't think its as reliable as the source I got for DES. Huuummmmm.....I think you miss my point or humour

I want the least expensive pakage that gives me ESPN & the Sports chanels, don't want movies ....... any ideas?
Sports + the basic packs should be from £36 - £41 + ESPN which I think is another £10. http://www.sky.com/portal/site/skycom/skyproducts/skytv/pricesandpackages Click to see full-size image. |

With impeccable timing, I decided to sort my Shares out - or get Chili so to do - & she got them all in neat packages for me, & I trotted off to Natwest to set up a BrokerLine Account, so I could see where I am at financially. There were, literally, hundreds of Share Certificates, many of them "dead", & most of them "scrip dividend" shares in small denominations. But Chili got them all in apple-pie order. I met Mr Bank Account Manager, but to my annoyance - I have a long-held loathing & contempt for Clearing Bank incompetence & ethicacy, he ambushed me with a Pensions Geezer. This "Pensions" guy was trying to flog me a Pension, & I got a wee bit tetchy with him. "Do you know how old I am?" I said, as he vainly suggested I "save for the future". Save for my future? At my bloody age? I'm trying to spend it, not save it! I said "look, I've worked all my life, & saved all my life - what do you think these Shares represent - but now I'm on easy street, coasting downhill, & you expect me, with a limited life expectancy to trust you, a bloody Banker, with all your history of incompetence, with my money?". Well, it all went a bit quiet after that, & the Pension geezer cleared his throat & said, straight-faced, "so that's a no then is it Mr Kendall?". Not much gets past these Bankers, eh? I felt like that "I dont belieeeeve it" bloke. Ah well, too bad. But Karma got me, & I went outside to find I'd got a Parking Ticket. Which reminds me, I was supposed to answer a Post about all my Parking Tickets a while back - now who asked that? Was it Tractor? And I've got Jim McShane's "has your 10 best & worst impressions of Vegas changed?" question to answer yet. And a bunch of PM's still in the queue. Bugger it, bed awaits. That was me.......I'd forgotten that I'd asked
