we played one at the betfair do and it worked well 8 teams of 8 players playing on 8 tables as an stt - all tables started at the same time and used same clock , each team had a capt and joker , players got points for where they finished on the table plus bonus points for ko a team captain and also the joker - the jokers points also counted double for his own team we played £25 a man every table winner got £100 and the winning team received £800 total the emphasis on the event was general fun and a bit of rivalry/ bragging rights- there was no dumping as each table had 1 player from each team on it - every table also had a team capt and a team joker on it as i said it worked fine

during the live games i organise and play in we occassionally have a a situation where i need to make a ruling, i dont proffes to getting them right 100% of the times but i gaurantee that i will be as fair and impartial as i can most are ettiquette but occassionally a ruling crops up - i am pretty experienced and most times my ruling is accepted ,however i am thinking of writing a set of guidlines , however there doesent seem to be a rule book to refer to what do the TD`s use ? and what is the best "book" to purchase and regarding rules that differ from place to place , there is nothing more frustrating than making a ruling and it being disputed because they dont play it ike that at XXX casino/cardroom- why is there such a difference
thanks
