My name's Adam and for my sin's I work as a freelance writer mostly in gaming. In a flash of brilliance, i.e. racking my brains for new ideas to pay the bills, I came up with the idea of doing a feature on superstition in poker. Thus I'm interested in any superstitions you might have, lucky clothes, charms etc. In particular I'd be interested in stories of famous poker players you know who have superstitious beliefs, the more interesting the better. Opps! Yes 14th

Hi guys,

I'm sorry to say (well not that sorry, I get the night off ) but us hard working folk at dusk till dawn will be taking this Friday off for our Christmas party.  I know, I know we've only been open a couple of weeks but the hard behind the scenes work has being gone on for sometime and we'd like to take the chance to celebrate the end of the year together. We are truely sorry for any inconvenience but assure you'll we'll be open Saturday and all through the holliday season. Have a Merry Christmas!

Kind of have to disagree with the penultimate point. Actions have more an impact then threats. A returned card shows your seriousness and besides it can be stated quite clearly in the letter you'd rejoin as soon as they drop their objection.
