Despite the frequent flowing of casualties, we've already lost around 2/3's of the field due to what Canadian Martin Derbyshire says is "Eurodonkery" there will still be one more level, this got a roll of the eyes from some, including Michael Martin who probably is feeling a little jet-lagged (he has 60k atm, he'll be fine!). I think though that those in charge have got it right playing it out tonight since we won't know how many are coming tomorrow. Rather have the short nights later this week than tonight I think is the plan. I'm loving that 60K stack!!!! Thanks for the update. TR23

To say it's rammed in the Vic, would be an understatement. The initial provision was for there to be 250 players today and the same tomorrow. They've already added an extra three tables, (soon to be four we think). The list of alternatives is longer than the extended edition of Lord of the Rings and so far includes Dag Martin Mikkelsen, Tom 'Durrr' Dwan and Michael Martin. The latter of these arrived last night and was desperate to play, he hoped if there was enough Germans or Italians he might get in quicker or if there was a table of Finns, they all try and take each other out (of the tournament, not like to the cinema on a date). It looks like there will at least 600 people in this event, possibly more. It's incredibly hectic in the cardroom so player names etc are just going be so difficult to sort out, please bear with us. Homer -- Thanks as usual for the terrific Blonde coverage. I'm so sad to hear this is the last EPT event you will be covering as I anxiously await my son playing in Europe just for your posts and unique headlines. Michael Martin just got in and is at table 16, seat 1 so any updates will be greatly appreciated. When he flew in last night, he had no idea if there would be room or not as he was #105 on the waiting list. He was happy to get in as an alternate. TR23

lmao @Thereader mentioning that Micheals front tooth is a fake..and taking away an possibility of a cool story by saying that "it wasn't in a hockey match but I won't tell you how it happened".
You can tell your Blonde friends though..honest...come on..we won't tell anyone.
Ha ha.....I don't know if across the pond you know what a "sucker punch" is but, if you do, that's part of the story. TR23

Ahh ha ha TheReader, you're on the live feed! Stop embarrassing Michael with stories! Do you have any baby photos to share? [/quote] Ha ha......I draw the line at the baby photos because he would absolutely kill me. But I will say he was beyond cute. lol As far as the tooth, earlier they were talking about him playing ice hockey in school and Lee Jones mentioned that he looked like a hockey player but his teeth were too nice. That's why I responded thusly. lol TR23

I don't know if this is going to tickle the ribs of Mrs Martin or make me her least favourite updater on a permanent basis, but Michael looks so happy in that picture that he reminds me of this picture of a chimp I found. Oh you're so funny Snoopy. First of all, I want to tell you something. My son is 23 years old and has been out of college for a year. As a mother, it's very hard to have him in another country and out of touch. When I found Blonde Poker last year, it was like I found a lifeline to my son while he was traveling and playing poker in Europe. You helped me get through the entire Master Classics of Poker in Amsterdam in November as I always knew where he stood in the tournament....until the end when Dana's favorite person Trond won. lol Myself and my family don't even know how to thank you for all the coverage you have given Michael. He's still our "baby" (he's going to kill me for saying that) no matter how far away he is. So from the bottom of my heart, I want to say thank you.....you're all my favorites. Henrik Gwinner made it 55k utg and Michael called. Stig on the small blind asked for a count on Gwinner – it’s around 360k. Stig re-raises 180k. Gwinner gets out of the way, but Michael flat calls. Interesting…
I love how he played this. He wasn't going to be happy getting just 180K from Stig and played it to double up.
