On a similar note, its great to see the Walsall schedule has added a couple of freezouts, a 100 er which had 93 runners on Tuesday and a 50er later in the month. Also good to see that there prepared to mix it up by putting a 20 re-buy Omaha tourney on. Only problem is there all on Tuesday nights when Im stuck in work!!  Angry

Yep your right about Cardiff, very bingo-esque at times, but the starting points are 500 for the 10 er and 1000 for the 20 ers and 2000 points for the 50ers.

I find NLHE to be a largely pre-flop, single decision game, and PLHE the far more enjoyable/skillful in you actually have to play flops. Devilfish sums it up perfectly 'you could teach a monkey how to play NLHE, cos you could teach a monkey to push all his chips into the centre'. Wise words indeed.

Absolutely right. They say playing Heads-up is easier when your the shorter stack as well. My money would still be on DC though with a 4 to 1 chip lead.

They may well just take a chip saver and play on no?

KEY HAND
Greg makes it 60k pre flop, Kkola re raises all in.

Greg AK
Kkola JJ

Flop Q87
Turn Q
River 8

Kkola is OUT in 6th and wins 7,000

Doesnt J-J win there against A-K?

Gotta disagree Im afraid. Carlo, as a pro player isnt value in tournements more important than any glory chasing ideal? I hastened to add I am far from all-knowing on these matters, but the WSOP just seems to have lost something for me personally.

Yeah true, but with the fields as huge as they are now, its quite possible a recognised 'face' wont will the WSOP again. Mind you they do say that next year if you make the final table you'll probably be a millionaire! Crazy.

Wouldnt waste my money on a WSOP entry anyway, 50k or no 50k! Why pay $10k or however much they'll make it to chase a pipedream, and play bingo with 4000+ players!!!

Plus he might realise it takes a couple of beats and he's back scrapping it out with the rest!

What do we all reckon, a 3 or 4 way chop of the loot?

Any more on DC's nose bleed?  Grin

Hats off to the worm. I know he'd had a tricky time not so long ago but looks like with 3 payouts here, and a good result in Nottingham he's back on his feet. Just goes to show form is temporary, class is permenant.
