It just didn't add up and I didn't know what to think so I folded

If thats the case then you have to fold as you can not justify any call, and this comes from some one who has just missed out on a ticket for the Irish Open, with expenses, to a  , I had  we both hit a ace and he hit his four, but then I felt he was pushing and it was heads up. Boy did the cat fly across the room.

"at this stage of the MTT, your decision is more complex"

Ah Smart Money thats what i was looking for and thank you I figure that at some stage you have to be looking winning the comp which is why i made the call, would have had 230,000k in chips and I feel I could have out played the the short stack, if the short stack calls and I hit and its all over, if i miss then I have got a fair return on my stake (£700 30 runners enter £150) and I have had a good nite's fun. This said I would not no how to access if the call was valid or a punt, i do now and it looks like a punt.

Also the figures you have used explain some of the deals I have been involved in.

Last but not least can you suggest any books covering these areas

Cheers

The Bigger the Fish the large the portion of chips you get

thanks for the comments but I do feel if you are looking for pot odds at this stage it could be a long wait so anyway I called it and the short stack called as well. Hey presto they both had a ten!! short stack in front with Ten Jack

Turn to give me hope with the flush draw as well

River A Seven ah well it was fun while it lasted

and then today I get rivered twice by gunshots!!!!!

Still theres allways next week

Sad i know but it was all in or nothing from most of the players, I had great fun betting 10k at the blinds from any poisition and picking off the blinds before the field thinned. opps sorry used the F word there

This was Luton pre-Danish, when you had a reasonable expectation of putting someone on a hand.

LMHO

and then I started playing there, but if you are looking for a top 3 then you have got to go all in

I did consider the raise but as I had been playing a bit loose at times I felt that the short stack would call anyway, he call before with Ten Eight to go all in so i felt a cheap flop was best

bit scary this I had the same jacks but  with a big stack going all in, think he was 2nd to bet and down to the last  7 players. I got out as I had a big stack as well and he showed the same AQ and I was happy but I would have called a short stack, but then this was the FT

Down to the last 3 in a small MTT holding about 120k of 300k chips blinds are 10k I think limp in with  SB calls and BB checks flop is something like      Ist player checks (50k) goes all-in with 130k. Do you call or fold? Read is that the all in is maybe a steal pair at best.
