I think id rather pull my teeth out than watch this mess
Really How can you not find it entertaining seeing these guys just constantly irritating each other. Maybe not the best show for poker purists, but from an entertainment point of view, I found it a good laugh.

Great to see the Premier League is set for a return, one of the best shows on TV last year IMO, along with the Poker Den. Most of the Line up from last season are back along with some new additions Annie Duke, Marcel Luske & Alex Kravchenko ( who unfortunately is about as interesting to watch as paint dry.) But the banter should be good with the Devilfish ego going up against the Helmuth ego once again. Devilfish I believe is favourite.

The strength of AK is in its value to be aggressive knowing your dominated by only two hands, your really looking to use this aggressive move when there is a good chance your not going to be called as its also only a small favourite against most other hands except Ax or Kx, but too often I see it missused by pushing all in when the blinds are still relatively low thus only being called by a Big Hand AA KK QQ for example. AQ however is far mor vunerable due to the AK factor, we've all seen how many times these two hands meet as Novice palyers are only playing this type of hand.

He is the top man, every poker show should be presented by him and Pardraig. Under no circumstances should Shannon Elizabeth ever be a commentator again. Vicky Coren is Ok I'm warming to her a bit now, I originally found her really annoying but she's growing on me slowly.

Shane Warne is a sporting icon and big name so i suppose it keeps poker high profile, but don't you just get sick of all these so called celebs getting the opportunity to play in the big money TV tournies and getting sponsorship when they are clearly awful. (and I do mean awful) Shannon Elizabeth is barely famous and a mediocre player at best, but she picks up sponsorship deals with ease. Full Tilt now I hear Mansion. I haven't got a problem with these celebs advertising the game and getting paid for their services. But how many do we need? BTW Yes it would be good to share a table with him because that would mean I would be playing in hugh tourny like the Aussie Millions and I'm sure my chances would be better than Shanes. But thats not happening anytime soon for the majority of us is it?

Just heard this news, truly one of the games true greats. Such a shame, I'm sure he will now get the recognision he modestly avoided but vastly deserved.

Correct or not, I tell you this, you WILL NOT find a better TD than Neil.
He was just superb.
I saw another ruling he made, concerning 2 players that had banter going which spilled into a petty argument. He quickly put a stop to it saying "anymore arguing and you will both be on a 20 minute penalty" - he was not interested in what had happened or why, he just made the ruling with great authority and the problem went away.
UK TD's should take note!
Agree Completely

And as for the cash action :
Table = €1 €2 n/l table
SB €1 BB €2 UTG Limps for €2 MP makes it €50 Button re raises all in for €2000!!!!!!!! (and yes that says €2000)
Takes down the pot and shows 3 4 suited
It must have been Eddie, the same guy who went out of the main event first on 92. Crazy Guy, he did the same thing to me.

I managed to satellite in too. A bit cruel on guy who only had one chip. I was actually rooting for him after someone disagreed with the suggestion to chip in and give him a return. Was funny when he hit quads with his final chip. He would of had about 40k if his bb had held up with six callers. that would have been hilarious. Anyway good luck blondes.

To be fair he had been warned over & over,it was obviously down to nerves . The big name players used their status (and experience).Simply it was experienced players taking advantage of the situation, you see that in every sport. The best thing that could have happened though was the time penalty as he came back chilled out. I don't think marty would have made the same decision if it was the other way round but I don't think that the Danish Lad was ever going to make the same arguement. Experience counts.

The main reason I hate rugby so much is that its so common to either stamp or tread on people. Bunch of thugs who like a ruck but aren't actually tough enough to get in a cage or a ring.
Not tough enough, you've obviously never played this sport at any decent level. To Stereotype like this truly shows you ignorance, and bias towards the sport you follow. Talk about thugs I am a fan of the UFC, Boxing and combat sports in general but watching each season of TUF shows posturing testosterone every season out of the ring. Based on the topic of this thread Should the Guy on TUF that bounced his house mates head off the concrete also get sent to prison

As it happens I was forced to play the game for 5 years at school.
I'm also comfortable fighting 18st guys in a martial arts situation.
And I'm entitled to calmly give my opinion
then why do martail arts split down wieght groupings then when i dabbled i would never of been allowed to compete against you not because of a gap in the skills but becuse of my height and weight advantaged it would of been an unfair fight on the rugby pitch they normally get the little guy and put him in the centre of the scrum but then again its normally a little guy with wieght behind him I don't train martial arts for the business of sport. I train for real fights. I can't pick the size of my assailant in the street so I need to train my techniques against opponents of all sizes. Do you live in a really dangerous area ? Why would anyone "train" for real fights, unless you go out looking for them... Shouldn't you be training to defend yourself, I thought this was the principal, not so you can have 'real fights'.

The question in hand is, is it an Appropriate Sentence Which obviously depends on the situation, My view that a punch in the gob or a stud in the head has always being part of the game. Right or Wrong and other than extreme situation should stay on the pitch. However If the victim of the assault feels it is a case for the courts to decide on then it has to be judged as any other assault. 15 months seems extreme, compared to the leniancy given to burgulars and drug dealers. IMO I also played rugby ( at county level) and am one of those 11st guys, not a problem I can assure you and it was my choice. Rugby is probably one of the most honorable games going and anyone who has played the game (by choice not because your teacher said you had to) would know that.
