I spoke to him on the 6th June and asked if I was to late to get a small piece of his WSOP action. I was only looking for 1/2%,  he told me someone who had previously booked 5% had dropped out, and I could have the lot. I said that was to rich for me, but agreed to take 1% @ $120, which i shipped straight away on Stars.

This is disgustingly sly

Clear where that went.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (6 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

MP ($41.85)
CO ($106.70)
Hero (Button) ($67.45)
SB ($64.95)
BB ($50)
UTG ($22.40)

Preflop: Hero is Button with Q, A
2 folds, CO bets $1.50, Hero raises to $5, SB raises to $13, 3 folds

Total pot: $12 | Rake: $0

Villain in SB is 16/14/4 from around 200 hands with a 3b of 5%, 4bet 2.4%. Played 70 hands with him in this session. I'm running 30/27/7 over those 70 hands and 3 bet of 18% with a weak player to my right who keeps folding to my 3bets.

Villain and I have been involved in two pots of note in the session. The first he 3 bet me after I tried to steal his blind (about the third time I had done so) and I folded. The second where I 3bet the button with 57s and he cold called, donk led a 57J board and I raised; he insta folded.

Given the dynamic (or with no reads), is folding standard in this  spot? The size of his 4bet initially raised alarms that he was just trying to pinch it given my 3b volume in this session but I couldn't anything but a fold.

As for the hand itself - if he has been active the i like your weak lead to jam............. if thats what you did

I think he has an under pair to your 10. I think any overpair gets em in pre (possibly not JJ), or the only hand that beats you is AT. Given the spot you are in I jam and look to bink

but yeah - dont get yourself there in the first place

Thanks for comments guys. Guy, you've pretty much read the way i played it. When he calls pre I was thinking AJ,A10,AQ type hands or mid pairs. When he repops I narrow him to maybe fd or mid pair not wanting to see another card, or complete air trying to push me off a weak lead. I jammed and he shows  lol!

Not results orientated here as I can never put him on a 5 but more the way I played pre and getting myself into that spot was the advice i was looking for.

Thanks again!!

I'd welcome some views on this situation I tend to find myself in now and again being oop with a marginal hand.

$40 mtt online, 50ish players left from 115, i'm in around 10th place in chips. Been at the table for about 3 orbits, villain has been pretty active while i've been at the table with little resistance  and has just won a big pot to be near enough chip leader.  Only hand he has shown was AA to win the big pot.

Button ($11440.00)
HERO SB SB ($17035.50)T J
BB ($14960.00)
UTG ($9942.50)
UTG+1 ($17547.22)
VILLAIN MP MP ($21437.48)
MP ($9827.50)
CO-1 ($10020.00)
CO ($11433.38)

Preflop: , 2 folds, MP raises to 678.00, 4 folds, SB raises to 1980.00, 1 fold, MP calls 1302.00.

Flop (4410.00) 5 T 5
SB bets 2355.00, MP raises to 6000.00

Based on the image I have of him so far, calling my 3b doesn't narrow his range too much but after raising my cbet, what range can i be putting him on? Obv as I'm posting it here you can guess I didn't win the hand but I'd appreciate comments on his potential range and what you would do.
Thanks

I use handhq to get hold of hand histories. Can vouch for it, used it a few times with no probs at all. Saves a lot of time rather than having to datamine.

Fwiw, I play lower than $1/$2 but in my limited experience, a min raise on the turn is nearly always the sign of a monster. TT surprised me, was certain you would say he had 66.
13  Poker Forums / Poker Hand Analysis / Micro stakes overpair question on: December 09, 2008, 09:07:52 PM
Would be interested to get an opinion on this situation I tend to find myself in quite often being asked the question for a chunk of my stack with an overpair to the board and other players showing an interest. Particularly with a player to act behind.

Stormy Jay is running about a 22/17 and rtravis1 about 20/4 on PT (from 100 hand sample or so), not seen much of either of them yet.

Effective stack sizes are $20.

You can get 7 days free trial on deucescracked to see what it's like. Never used cardrunners but deucescracked is spot on.
