Hi all,

No awards ceremony this time, it was our first Awards and we wanted to test the water a little as we'd never tried it. What we weren't expecting was the level of interest from readers. We received bagfuls of votes which was great to see. IMO some worthy winners came out of it too, you can't deny that. (even though one or two voters had never heard of anyone on the International Player list - oh dear...)

We'll have a look at this again near the end of 2011 and see about expanding the awards list and maybe knocking up some trophies.

Cheers again, and well done to Blonde.

Stu, it wasn't meant to be a particularly "good" moment, just one of the notable moments of the year. You can't argue it wasn't a newsworthy moment of 2010.

Awards are now closed and thanks to everyone who voted. Obviously shortlists are always going to divide opinion, from the various merits of the candidates to whether one should have them at all, but the mag has never held one before and we thought it was high time. Anyway, check out the mag on March 17th for full results.

P.S. Willie is a LEGEND. End of.

Interesting aquisition by party, any shareholders on here? Would like your opinion on the company and its future.

as an aside, they should sell the magazine to new management too, dunno how they can totally forget about british bracelet winner JP kelly when doing their end of wsop review in Augusts issue, did he get is confiscated? I understand there are always a lot of typo's, bits of dodgy editing at times with these things, but saying we only won 2 bracelets and completely omitting him is a huge faux pas and pretty insulting imo. p17.

Yep, we had brain freeze and omitted JP from the end-of-Series figures, but we did include a write-up on him in the previous issue when he won his bracelet. correction going into WPT magazine this month, available from all good bookstores, etc.

good luck to Flush magazine's Stu Rutter, and London Poker Meetup's James Mitchell.
